Pot luck if it will perform injector coding successfully
Purchased to allow me to code a replacement injector on a 2015 Nissan Pulsar 1.5 dCi (K9K engine, same as fitted to Juke and Qashqai models) - failed to be able to perform this using this Nissan specific Launch unit. Details of failure. Needed to replace injector in cylinder 1 which had had developed a fault with OBD reader showing P0210 -29 Cylinder 1 injector circ 2.def. Measured only 2.5 Ohms across the terminals of that injector with other 3 injectors measuring close to 200k, so injector definitely bad. Ordered a replacement injector from an online vendor along with this Nissan specific Launch unit to allow me to input the new injector code into the ECU. Launch unit arrived, was updated with latest SW (Nissan V46.00), new injector installed in cylinder 1. Connected Launch reader to OBD port, tried to input new injector code for cylinder 1 and then lost the next 8 hours of my life trying to find out source of the problem. After attempting to save the new injector code (A8MGMM) for cylinder 1 into the ECU the Launch tool stated "code writing has failed..." prompting user to turn off the ignition for 2 minutes and then try again. After 2 mins went back to attempt to save code of new injector only to find the code that the previous message reported as having failed to write now listed as as the current value for cylinder 1 in the injector table. So looked like new code had been written to ECU despite message saying that the write attempt had failed. Tried again to write code to cylinder 1 and once again got the message that code writing had failed with the request to turn off IGN, wait for 2 minutes and try again. But with the injector table now showing the same (correct) injector code in both the 'current value' and 'input value' for cylinder 1 it looked like the write had worked (spoiler - it hadn't). Tried starting the engine only to be greeted with it running on only 3 cylinders along with a P0210 -41 Cylinder 1 injector circ 3.def OBD code Thought this was pointing to a fault with the new injector. Tested resistance across terminals, 200k ohms - all good, tested wiring between injector and ECU - all good. Swapped old injector from cylinder 2 over with new injector from cylinder 1 to see if OBD fault tracked with injector or stayed with cylinder. it stayed with cylinder 1 (but now with the wrong injector codes for the injectors in these 2 cylinders). Tried using the Launch unit to recode for the old injector from cylinder 2 that was now installed in cylinder 1 (injector code B7FHJL), it worked! Launch unit stated "Input Injector Code - Command Completed" at the top of the injector table with B7FHJL as both the current and the input value for cylinder 1. Hooray, progress. Then tried to code A8MGMM for the new injector now sitting in cylinder 2, it failed this time leaving me with a P0202 -41 fault code (same fault as before but now reported from cylinder 2). I then tried using the injector code from the injector that had originally failed (9BEEFH) and writing that into cylinder 2 with the Launch unit. This also completed successfully with no errors, although as this code was not the correct one for the injector now sitting in cylinder 2 the engine was running rough but with all 4 cylinders (so new injector OK). At this point I was left thinking that the problem was with the code for the new injector rather than the launch tool so decided to systematically run through all of the injector codes that I had available, attempting to code each of them into cylinder 2. 9BEEFH - taken from the failed injector that was originally fitted into cylinder 1 - worked B7FHJL - taken from the injector that was originally fitted into cylinder 2 (now in cylinder 1) - worked 99EFFG - taken from the injector that is fitted in cylinder 3 - worked AADHHJ - taken from the injector that is fitted in cylinder 4, and is listed as 'current value' for cylinder 4 - failed A8MGMM - code for new injector currently sitting in cylinder 2 - failed A5EGHH - code for a second replacement injector that's still sitting in its box - failed That's a success rate of only 50% from the Launch unit with me unable to code either of the new injectors (these injectors are Continental units - type 166006212R) as well as it also failing to be able to use the code for the injector that's currently sat in cylinder 4 which is already coded into the ECU. Returning unit for a refund as its unable to carry out the job that I purchased it for. I now also have to remove the injectors from cylinders 1 and 2 so that I can fit new copper washers as I simply reseated using existing washes when troubleshooting. 2 stars as I did not test all of the advertised capabilities of this Launch tool and some of them might work perfectly. Wish I could get my weekend refunded too.

Not worth the money
Just another basic scanner from what I am seeing, bought this to code Qashqai injectors, which it doesnât do đĄ. There are far better cheaper units out there which will do the same, and more than this does for the money.
