I was a bit doubtful as to the quality and effectiveness of this product. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well it works. The wheel is made out of quality materials and not cheap plastic. I have been using it to loosen up my back muscles and was surprised that it adjusted my mid and lower back. I try to use it daily for a few minutes. This is not as effective on my upper back. I am not sure how effective this would be for someone who is not able to balance on their back using their feet for support - like prepping to do a backbend. Overall, I am impressed with this roller.

I will be brutally honest on this review. I initially had given it 4 stars for the overall rating, but I changed it to 5. Here is why... I initially was only going to order the smallest Chirp Wheel for deep tissue but ended up ordering all 3 sizes of the Chirp Wheel from Amazon. At first I was slightly disappointed. As I used the small size wheel first it was much sturdier than any foam roller and perfect for me. I also tried the other 2 larger sizes, but loved the smaller one the best of all 3. You can definitely tell there is a greater stretch and popping for the back with the products than your traditional roller as it targets specifically the vertebrae and muscles along your back and neck. Though at first I was comparing it to the relief of a chiropractic adjustment and there were not too many pops or release of the air pockets of gas along that area. The medium and larger wheel are great as well for a different range of stretching but due to weight training for years I had packed on some decent muscle size to my back. So I needed something firmer and just needed to get in deeper. The smallest one was just the right one. I started using it for about 3 minutes, twice a day and already now in 2 weeks each and every day I feel the muscles getting much more loose, the popping sounds (which I love the sounds, but love the relief even more) are much more. I just did not know how tense the muscles were. I was judging a book by it's cover. But I feel more relaxed and adjusted. I was actually pretty bummed that I felt that purchasing the other 2 wheel sizes was not worth it at least for me, but you know what they both ended up being perfect. Though I still use it from time to time, I was being selfish and thinking how this would benefit me. My mother who is 66 years of age is now using the medium size wheel, as the smallest is too strong for her and the biggest one doesnt give her the stretch she wants. As for the biggest wheel, my dad who is 70 years old loves it too. He has fractured his T3 and T4 vertebrae from a previous accident and has been in several serious car accidents in the past with a steel plate in his hip, shoulder, and right leg. This one is perfect for him and now we religiously use it 1 to 2 times a day. You can pretty much say it's a story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears but with Chirp Wheels. Wrapping this up what really was amazing was not only the product, but the company as well. A day before I made this purchase I was comparing and debating to pick up the product from the website gochirp.com or from Amazon (primarily from the shipping times with Amazon Prime I was leaning this direction). I did a mock up cart on the website, but went with Amazon with the purchase. About a week later I received an email from the Founder and CEO of Chirp, Tate. I thought it was a generic email that I had items in the cart from the website order that I mocked up, asking if there is anything they can do to answer questions regarding my pending order and offering a 15% discount code. So I replied to the email for fun since I already ordered the day before, but was surprised to get a response back. The CEO of Chirp Wheel and I were communicating via email and I might say a few hours response times between our conversation emails back and forth and not days. I informed him that I already placed the order through Amazon and it came in but was happy and also slightly disappointed regarding the purchase of all 3 wheels instead of the smaller one I was leaning for. Mr. Tate ended up sending me a few links for Youtube videos on how to do different and proper stretching using the wheels. Which I must say was very helpful for the different sized wheels. Just a simple reach out like this makes everything better to ensure that the CEO and the company Chirp, not only care about their products but also about their customers. I purchased the 2" deep tissue roller as a stocking stuffer for my brother. I couldn't resist trying it out myself before gifting it. I work 40+ hours a week in dress shoes, and frequently experience foot pain and tightness with plantar fasciitis. This little roller is invaluable for easing some of this pain, and I'm in the process of buying another for myself. The roller itself is very firm, but with it's rubberized coating, is much more comfortable than some trigger-point balls that I've used in the past. Due to it's size & shape, it's perfect for rolling your foot on. It doesn't slip out or move side-to-side with it's raised edges. This will be a mainstay under my desk at home, it's very easy to roll your foot on while you complete other tasks. The finish of the item is also very high, there were no rough edges or raised seams on the roller. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Chirp Wheel to anybody who is experiencing foot discomfort.

At this moment I can hear my husband telling the Chirp wheels how much he loves them… ha! But they really are great for both stretching and back pain relief. The large on is the best for the lower back and stretching out the hips. I love getting my back cracked on a foam roller but the stretching is where the pain relief comes in! The reviews saying they are dangerous… I mean yes I fell off of mine then read the directions after haha have not had a problem since following the recommended body position and mechanics. We love these things!

The amount of cushioning feels inadequate on this wheel. The construction is a bit shotty too. The edges have a visible line of oozed glue between the cushion and plastic tube. The foam sqeals like crazy as I roll it on the floor, which never happens with my other, similar, foam roller wheel that I got before Chirp was a thing. I assumed with all the brand marketing that Chirp was higher quality but definitely not the case. Size works as a travel roller. Only reason I'm keeping it. For the price and poor quality, would not recommend

I wasn't planning on doing a review of this until at least after a month of using it. But at 10 days in, I'm noticing a huge difference. I'm in my early 40s but with my back issues, I always felt like I was at least 87! Ibuprofen became a meal, 3 times a day (at least). I would need at least 7 minutes to get out of bed. My 19 year old daughter would have to always stay close by so she could walk on my back when needed (she's that perfect size!). But it got to a point where she couldn't get the cracks I really needed. And then there's my lower back. It often feels like a community of tiny little elves having an extreme kick boxing tournament using my spine and tailbone and whatever else they can find to beat the heck out of, all while massive pressure builds up to the point of needing to explode, but the explosion never happens. Or maybe even an Angry Elf Fight Club. It's just plain awful. A few days before I finally decided to order this, we were attempting to clean out and organize our basement. I don't know why I insisted on inflicting this hell upon myself. A few days in and I couldn't move. My daughter was out of town, so I had no one to attempt the back walk. I was desperate. So I ordered the entire set and continued to chow down on bottles of ibuprofen, waiting out my 2 days of shipping in severe pain. The day it finally came, I opened the box and immediately started using it. I started with the biggest wheel. It did nothing but hurt. I moved on to the next one. Nothing. At this point, I'm feeling somewhat sick to my stomach. Why did I spend so much for something that's doing absolutely nothing for me?! I move on to the next size down. Still feeling pain. BUT......my back started cracking! It sounded like someone lit an entire pack of firecrackers and put them in a metal container! And it just kept going! I thought I was dreaming! I still felt fairly stiff, but not near as bad. I used it one more time that evening, working my way through the 3 back wheels. I don't really have neck issues, so I'm not too concerned about using the smallest one just yet. The next day, I use them within 20 minutes of waking up. And a few more times throughout the day. Same thing the following day. With each day, I felt better and better. Eight days in and I almost cried myself to sleep because of how good I felt. I had 3 pops that evening that I felt like needed to happen for at least a decade. And they finally happened. I never thought I'd be emotional over a pop/crack in my back! Even the several chiropractors I'd been to couldn't make that happen! I thought it was just a constant pain I'd have to live with until the end. I'm still in disbelief! Now at 10 days in and I can get right up out of bed, I can make it through an entire day at work without gobbling down pain meds. My tiny community of the angry little elves in my lower back? Well, most of them have either moved on or met their demise! There are a few still lingering, but I'm very optimistic that they'll be joining the others at some point soon! My back doesn't feel like that of an almost crippled 87 year old. I've got it feeling like my actual age. Possibly even younger! Even my coworkers have noticed a difference! Apparently I was quite miserable and wanted everyone around me to be miserable! My entire attitude has changed! I'm not going to lie, there is still some pain experienced when using. The sides that are supposed to massage you? Yea, they tend to hurt! But after a few days, it was almost like a really good feeling pain. I look forward to feeling that pain, because I know it'll be worth it! I have been Journaling my progress. And I really thought it would take months to feel so good. I cannot even imagine how amazing I'll feel in the next few months! I can almost feel the way it stretches my back. I had no idea that's what I needed! Every doctor I've gone to just wants to put me on pain meds. I don't want pain meds. I want to feel good naturally. And I think this is it. This is what I needed. This is my medicine. My new addiction! Something like this may not be for everyone, but I would absolutely recommend it to everyone! Thank you Chirp.
