This is a great product and the adjustable heat dial is a superb add on . If you are into electronics then you might want to reconsider your selection 'cause this is a big unit. The 2000watts of heat is enough to target paint,pipe,acrylic and more. Built and quality is good...it's a Stanley !!

Brilliant quality with adjustable blower and heat settings
As expected from Stanley, the quality of the product is far superior than competitors at an affordable price.The product has two setting:1) blower setting: provides two speeds2) heat setting: provides setting to control the heat from 50 degree to 900 degrees Celsius.ordered in April 2021 and received a fresh March 2021 stock. Shall surely recommend.

*Things To Improve : *1. I was quiet confused as the knob for temperature setting is in reverse (usually clockwise is to increase) in this device its counter-clockwise to increase the value. Except that all are good.2. Wish It comes with Nozzles to reduce and spread the hot air.*Positives*1) Long & thick cable2) Sturdy though a plastic piece3) Heats up faster4) Good size handle for grip

Stanley makes decent tools
Very pleased with the operation and quality is good, first one I had finally failed after multiple drops and heavy commercial use/ abuse, I felt it was worth buying another same.

Very Good heat control
Very quick delivery.I Was searching for good heat gun for my DIY works, which has variable heat control, there was regular deal on amazon for heat gun for Rs999 of black & decker but it has only 2 speed so I opted for this Stanley.For first use I used this heat gun for making tower garden using 4" PVC pipe, heating n molding with this gun was breeze, very good heat flow at required temp and it was quick. Overall I found this was a good heat gun from Stanley.Thank you Amazon for quick delivery.

Too heavy to use, but has good controls on it
Just received the unit today. This is the second heat gun, before this I have Black & Decker. The problem with it was it gets too much heated up, and ends up burning the material.Pro:1. The unit has multiple ways to control the heat.2. Two levels of Heat, and another regulator to control heat.3. Prevents to burn things upCon:1. Unit is too heavy as compared to other similar heat gun in market. This unit is 1.2KG, whereas similar units are 800grams in weight.2. We tried to use the most powerful mode of this heat gun and after 20 seconds of usage, there was smoke coming from the heat gun. This shows that the top mode can be dangerous and should be used with precaution.Would have given full stars if it was not so heavy. Apart from that the unit works well.
