Shutter Remote Terminal Convert Adapter Cable E3F-N3M

I'm fairly certain that they strapped it to the back of a sea snail and dropped it in the Pacific somewhere off the coast of China, but the little guy found his way here eventually. They quoted a long ship time, so I can't fault them on that, but it did take the full time to reach California.The part works as expected, though it doesn't lock in like an 1/8" phono jack does. Not sure if that's the part of just how these connections work as I've never had one before. I have no idea why Canon doesn't just stick with the ubiquitous phono jack for all cameras. But I digress. The part works fine, and costs what it should for such a simple piece of cable. Glad to be able to use my triggers and intervalometers from my Rebel for my 6D.

This item shipped from China. I didn't see any indication of this in the listing. On the flip side, it only took a week and a half to two weeks to arrive. Adapter works great and is of good quality. I'm using it to adapt my intervalometer to my Canon 6D. Good stuff! I could not find any alternative that even came close in price. I would recommend this to anyone if you can wait a little longer for delivery.

This cable adapter allows you to use a 1/16" port to the Canon 3 prong port for the middle to professional cameras. I had a Canon remote for my Rebel and wanted to use it for my 7D, and this cable was exactly what I needed to use delayed shutter release.Thus this cable can be valuable if you have multiple Canon cameras between the consumer model Rebels to the professional models such as the 5D, 6D, 7D.The only quirk about it is that the 1/16" female port is not as snuck as I'd hope. I have had times with the remote falling off my camera while letting it rest around the camera and tripod. Even when you plug it in, it never feels secure. Keep this in mind and have some tape or have it rested more securely if you will be using it while you may not be holding the remote.

This adapter does exactly what it says it's for. The connections are firm, the product also feels well made. The spirals to allow stretch and flexibility are a great touch. I recommend this product 100%. It beats buying a new $90 remote with a different connector. The remote will also function exactly the same, this connector doesn't hinder any fuction.

It works fine, but probably not the best substitute for a Canon cable release.

5 stars because it was exactly what I've been looking for - for years.Been wanting to try long exposure photography but also wanted to be able to use the remote switch I already own.Along came DSLRKIT with a well made conversion cable.I now can use my Canon Remote RS-60E3 with my 7D without laying out huge bucks.I want you Canon DSLR Owners out these to check this out.And oh yea, delivery was much faster than the 3-4 weeks I was promised.

Basically cannot be relied on to work. I have to wiggle the cord to get it to work and then it will not be reliable. I have tried multiple intervalometers to verify that it was not the intervalometer that is the problem.

This allows me to use accessories purchased for an older Canon camera on my new camera, such as cable release and radio controlled shutter release. It is good quality and quick delivery, and works fine, and saves money.
