These shakes are very good. The chocolate is smooth and a little thick but not too much. The vanilla is great by itself or with fruit as a smoothie in my Ninja blender.

Arrives on time. Disclaimer: I am *not* a Dr. nor do I play one on T.V., so don't take my advice on anything other than cats are awesome. I originally purchased Atkins shakes hoping to stop cravings. I can honestly say that for *me* it did help. Although I am sure there *may* be other brands of protein shakes out there that may be higher in protein and or less carbs or whatever you may be looking for, but for someone like me, taste is everything. If it doesn't taste good it won't go down and it becomes a waste of money for whatever reason you purchase the product. I'll be honest, I only like the milk chocolate flavour, the others are not my cup of protein, so I stick with what works for *me*. As far as *works* for *me*.... Over the past 2 years I have used the Atkins shakes to help me lose *80 pounds*, s l o w l y, but the weight has stayed off. Long weight loss journey below* if you're interested: *I used Atkins for breakfast and also when I just wanted something "sweet" and or "chocolate". It was convenient to have it in the fridge ready to go so I wasn't tempted to make something that would throw me off the diet or get me in a drive thru for a quick meal. I purchase the large carton and just keep them on a shelf in the fridge. -->Subscriptions keep me in supply without having to think about it. I also used a pretty strict medically approved diet for 80% of the time, and there are only so many salads you can eat in your life, you'll need something "sweet" once in a while. -->This isn't a fabulous shake. It's a protein shake, and thus isn't going to satisfy in the same way as your favourite drive through or restaurant shake... however, as my coach said "If you haven't had 'regular' food for three months, this taste pretty good." The *milk chocolate* Atkins tasted the best in *my* opinion. (my coach prefers the strawberry) -->Sweet enough. Chocolatey enough. No chalky or "protein"-y taste for the most part. -->It is best when it is almost icy cold. Definitely better the colder you can get it. I also got off sodas 100%. No bubbles, no diet sodas, nothing to drink except water, milk, juice and or a lemonade once in a while. After 3 months of no sodas at all, I still craved them, but they tasted salty so that helped keep me off them. It's been almost 3 years off soda and I still have the cravings for a real McDonald's coke once in a while, but hey, I'm proud of myself for kicking that habit. I wasn't great with exercise, because my knees were shot, like zero cartilage and worthless for walking. My limit was 3.5 miles in one day, once a week...any more than that and the pain was so severe I had difficulty recovering. Anywho, weight loss stinks. If you're like me and can't afford or use or qualify to get a Rx weight loss drug -you need something, for me Atkins helped. DO I look like Rob Lowe? No, not even close. But I am getting there, and the Atkins helps. (also, brushing my teeth when I felt a craving, drinking a glass of water before eating anything, eating a lot of fiber, and the order of eating: lots of VEG FIRST, proteins second, carbs (YES YOU NEED CARBS) last. (Rice and beans eaten together make a perfect protein, so you get protein and carb blended perfectly) PORTION CONTROL IS KEY. If you are unable to do much exercise, find a pool -> even is you need to figure out a way to pay a fee or join a gym with one, walking backwards back and forth in a pool will do wonders. The deeper the water you can walk in the more effective your walking will become. If you can use resistance paddles while you walk even better. If you can walk somewhat, try walking in a climate controlled flat area... I walked through Costco, and other very large stores, up and down every single isle. You need to be disciplined not to buy things not on a list, but the flat cool or warm air is less strain on your legs/knees/hips. Us a cart to lean on if you need it, but try to focus on your posture as you walk. Ok that's it, that's all I've got. BOTTOM LINE: Atkins shakes will help you, but you'll need more than just the shake. Highly recommend.
