Not too bad… 3.5 Stars
I’ve been using this controller nearly every day since I got it, which was about a month ago. Overall it’s been pretty good! Here’s my pros and cons. I’ll actually start with the cons.CONS• The power switch is located behind the battery cover. So at the beginning and end of every session I need to pop the cover off/on and it gets annoying. If you leave the guitar powered on, it will turn off automatically after some time (which you can power back on by pressing the button next to the dpad). BUT leaving it on causes issues as my PC will receive star power inputs from the controller since I store it vertically.• It’s detected as a “keyboard” on PC rather than a controller. This means the guitar can interfere with you if you leave it on and go to do something else on your PC. If I set the guitar vertically against the wall, the constant star power (spacebar) input makes it difficult to do anything on my PC until I turn it off. Also, since this guitar is detected as a “keyboard” you cannot use 2 of them for multiplayer unless you go through the hassle of using third party software. I believe these issues only exist on PC, but I have not tested on a console.• Stum bar already has a bit of a squeak.PROS• Nice overall build quality. I'm impressed with how solid this thing feels. I can shake it pretty hard and I’ll hear no rattling on the inside. The frets do use membrane buttons like the old guitar hero controllers, instead of mechanical switches, but they feel good regardless. The yellow fret also has the little “feeler bump” on it to which I like to see.• Great connectivity and good latency. I was worried that I would have issues with this being a wireless controller, but once you get it all set up, it feels great and very responsive. I haven’t had any input issues while I’m playing. All in all, I’d say this controller was worth it for me. The original controllers are getting more and more difficult to find and this is a great option if you want something new.

Single Player Only
The guitar appears to perfectly if you only want to play single-player and you remove the dongle when you're done playing. The only thing you'll need to do is plug it in and then rebind your keys in the game you're playing like Clone Hero, Emulators, and/or Guitar Hero Windows. The show-stopping issue for me; it acts like a keyboard and only as a keyboard. When you go back to Windows, your normal keyboard and mouse act strange as Windows believes buttons are still being pressed. If you buy 2x controllers and want to play multiplayer, both guitars are bound to the same keyboard keys making the game useless for MM. I've purchased from 2 different retailers, one being PC and other PC/PS3 and they're the same guitar.Edit: Manual does show how to change it as controller but the green button, blue button, and whammy bar are not bindable for PC. PS3 is plug and play with 2x controllers (wished PC was too).

Worked Awesome with our PS3
My son recently discovered guitar here - we found all the games in a secondhand store but could not find guitars for reasonable prices...we bought two of these and they are fantastic! Nightly guitar hero battels at our place over spring break - so much fun!

Solid Product!
The ease of setting this up on my PS3 could not have been easier or quicker! Buttons feel good and the overall quality is great in my opinion. The guitar also came well packaged! I absolutely love it so far!

Good option, if you're only planning to play alone.
Since it emulates a keyboard, and there's no way to remap the buttons to use different keyboard presses, you can't use 2 at the same time if you're playing clone hero. The fact that it can't be customized is a huge issue for me, and any chance at getting a second one is complete out of the question. And for that 1 star

Works perfectly
Great alternative to play guitar hero on PS3. Works great! I haven’t played on code hero yet because having fun on all the old GH games but I imagine it would be seamless as well.

Doesn't work on PS4/5 or xbox X rock and 4/rivals
But does as advertised work on pc, on clone hero.So on xbox it works as a controller, but not in the rockband 4 game.PlayStation 4/5 does not strum in RBR.Works perfectly on pc and even with two controllers. You must select assign controller assign player 1s controller to guitar 1.Then assign player 2 guitar 2 press all the buttons you need.In order to get guitar 2 off of guitar 1s receiver you must hold minus (star power) and the button near the four LEDs, until LED 1 changes to 2.On clone hero you have to have two profiles.I think that's it, learning to use CH to play custom songs is awesome. There is no lag, star power works for both controllers, whammy for player 1 works untested for 2.Would give 5 stars if a dongle was made so it would work with ps or xbox. But it works perfectly on pc.Awaiting GH3 for compatibility. After controls are sorted it's turn guitar 1 on assign, turn guitar 2 on assign. Play. That easy.No gripes about the controller especially because on pc you can assign or remove buttons. So if you're tilt is too sensitive remove it and use the star power button.5 position switch changes the whammy mode. That's all for now.
