Review: Spanx - Good value for money, very easy to wear and don't roll down, true fit to size ,you have to wiggle a bit to get in them, they don't look sexy but you don't expect them to. They gave my body definition and a waist, shape held well Review: Spanx - These were good spanx and did the job of stream lining my mum tum. I read on other reviews that they roll down and this is true. I've had other spanx that have a plastic - almost sticky band at the top that prevents this but these didn't. It's okay if you can tuck them under your bra as that keeps them up but if wearing without a bra I think they would cause problems. I am 5'1 so these were a little long for my torso but that is the same for most control underwear i have found. Some other reviewers said that they got a 'double bum' in these so I was worried as I am pear shaped but I wore mine with a fitted satin dress and didn't find this to be the case. I would usually buy medium in clothes but I bought a small in these as I've done before with spanx and they were fine - once I'd squeezed in! ## Features - Fits True to Size: This SPANX item fits true to size, so feel confident choosing your usual size; reference the size chart to get the perfect fit - Seamless Shapewear for Women: SPANX Seamless Higher Power Panties provides lightweight, all-day shaping with no visible panty lines, for a perfect fit from day to night - Comfortable Shaping: Soft and lightweight, these SPANX shapewear shorts provide a double gusset for ease when nature calls and level 4 shaping, feeling like a firm hug - Smart Sizing: We recommend putting on your high-waisted shapewear first, then placing your bra over the waistband for added security; no-slip silicone strip helps keep waistband in place - For Women, By Women: At SPANX, we obsess comfort, deliver results and ensure you look as good as you feel ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00SJ2TTHQ | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Apparel Fabric Stretch | High Stretch | | Apparel Fabric Weight Class | Lightweight | | Best Sellers Rank | 15,204 in Fashion ( See Top 100 in Fashion ) 30 in Women's Control Knickers | | Bottom Style | Bikini | | Brand Name | Spanx | | Care instructions | Machine Wash Cold Gentle Cycle, Lay Flat to Dry | | Colour | Very Black | | Country Of Origin | China | | Country of origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 14,488 Reviews | | Fabric Type | 51% Elastane, 49% Nylon. | | Fit Type | Stretch | | Fit to Size Sentiment | Positive | | Garment Size Country | Great Britain | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00843953082132 | | Import Designation | Imported | | Item Type Name | Panties | | Leg Hem Opening Width | 11 Inches | | Manufacturer | SPANX | | Manufacturer Part Number | 2746-001 | | Material Type | Nylon | | Material composition | 51% nylon, 49% elastane/elastane. It was very uncomfortable but if it had done the job I could have put up with it! If it was me I would try size 18 ..... l hope this helps. **Q: I have loose skin and a wobbly tummy, from weight loss. I need something to wear under a bridesmaid dress that will smooth out the bump. Actuall good?** A: They do help with pulling the tummy in, but it’s not a firm control so can only pull in so far. Whilst it doesn’t roll down, and stays up, which is great unfortunately it doesn’t have a lower opening and you have to pull down to use the toilet and then try an readjust. If it’s fit medium control then it’ll work. **Q: What size is xl in UK sizing?** A: Hi, The information provided by Spanx for this style in the U.K. Sizes is: Small - 8-10 Medium - 12-14 Large - 16-18 XL - 20-22 1X - 24-26 2X - 28-30 3X - 32 34 I hope this helps. I read on other reviews that they roll down and this is true. I've had other spanx that have a plastic - almost sticky band at the top that prevents this but these didn't. It's okay if you can tuck them under your bra as that keeps them up but if wearing without a bra I think they would cause problems. I would usually buy medium in clothes but I bought a small in these as I've done before with spanx and they were fine - once I'd squeezed in! ### ⭐ Not worth it! *by G***L on 2 March 2026* I question that these are actually proper branded SPANX. Before ordering I checked they they were eligible for return/refund, according to the items return policy they are so long as I try them on OVER my existing underwear, which I would always do anyway. I am 5ft 7 tall and a size 18/20 so I ordered size XL. The waistband does not stick to under my bra line, it just rolls down, and despite being such a seemingly small pair of underwear and hoping they would hold me in a bit, they do not. They make no difference at all! When I tried to requested a return/refund the automated system said I couldn't so I went through to virtual customer services whereby I was offered a refund in full with no need to return the item. What a waste! ## Frequently Bought Together - SPANXsculpt Seamless Power High-Waisted Brief - Lightweight All-Day Comfort - Core Control Shapewear - High-Waisted Underwear - SPANXshape Everyday Shaping Brief - Core Control Shapewear Underwear - Invisible Under Clothes - Seamless Design - SPANXsculpt Seamless Power High-Waisted Shorty - For All Hemline Lengths - Core Control Shapewear - Seamless Underwear --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nl/products/64626077-spanx-womens-spanx-higher-power-panties-panties](https://www.desertcart.nl/products/64626077-spanx-womens-spanx-higher-power-panties-panties) --- *Product available on Desertcart Netherlands* *Store origin: NL* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
