Yamaha Yht-2910 - 5.1 Hd Channel Powerful & Stylish Home Theatre System

Great packaging and un-boxing experience. All items in the box were intact and not tampered. The system sounds great out of the box without any tuning. The YAPMO mic is cool and I used it with a camera tripod to tune my speakers. It got all the reading accurately in the first attempt even though I've kept all speaks in a front firing position for now. The speakers and the sub woofer are starting to sound more full with usage and any memories of the previous system are fading away. I'mpersonally liking classical music and a lot of Indian string instruments on this system like never before. But that does not mean this system is not good for Lamb of God like albums. Its actually awesome. I will play with tuning the equalizer on my own later as time permits and when I think the speakers have opened up to their full flex capabilities. This Yamaha is what my 18 month old son now demands to start his day with. The actual quality of this system is truly felt when you watch a movie from a original non pirated source. I saw the movie Gravity and found the experience to be totally emmersive. The system picks up the dolby effects from the BlurayDisk like none before. Truly thrilling experience. The various modes for playing music are really nice. Switch and play with them depending on your taste and choice of music at that moment. Watch how the system smartly changes the speaker combinations and the effected as well.

Really good product having very good sound quality. It is worthy looking to price.

Yamaha does not cover products with warranty when purchased online. Please read the warranty information in yahama website.My av unit had a issue and when I took to the authorized service center they did not cover the charges under warranty since I purchased online. Not sure then why these products are sold online if they don't cover warranty. Amazon also should not put the products online if the brand does not give warranty for their products online.

The media could not be loaded. Don't expect too much this system is basic home theater, if u want expect more go to onkyo, Bose

This is an excellent product for the price we pay for an entry level audiophile music system. The receiver has numerous options which I am yet to explore. The installation was simple if we thoroughly read through the installation manual. The looks of the receiver and speakers are very premium. I was looking for buying yht 299 which is not having a DC out in USB port and a few thousands lesser in cost. otherwise YHT 2910 and YHT 299 are the same. I connected my HD set top box to the receiver and connected the TV through ARC HDMI port to the receiver. This enables me to get Dolby digital 5.1 sound from Star movies and and other HD channels. It is great. The standard definition sound from regional channels are not that impressive. Like wise I connect my laptop to Receiver using a HDMI cable which delivers awesome sound quality even for a 700mb-1.5 gb movie prints. Haven't tried a blue ray yet. The sound from the speakers are loud and crisp yet not noisy. I can't raise the volume above 0 decibels which itself is a blast. Probably when I buy my own house will try more volume. overall it is a very good product.

Even though price seems to be on the higher side, the quality of the product is simply great .I use itiregularly with DTH- TV on every normal days and it gives damn good experience . Native HD channels works best with 5.1, other channels too works well.Clarity is amazing and Yamaha is known for .Bass is nice if not overpowering. Active subwoofer works well for that. Not a fan of extra bass feature though.After initial setup which is so simple, here and there couple of tweaks to sound perfect to individuals ears and done.Bought tontoise wall mount too worked well.But the avr is very sensitive to power fluctuations. Even after connecting via stabilizer have problems connecting with UPS power backup. It has automated standby power off after 2-3 fluctuations ( it's for protection I belive and it needs troubleshooting after manually to in avr back On)Other times, in normal power- its a beast. Performs flawlessly. Definitely happy

Whether the product is covered under warranty.If yes how to claim warranty, since there is no seal or date of purchase in warranty card.If no, then I want to return the product immediately, as the product is available for the same price with warranty, locally.Please note that the Yamaha Service Centre rejected installation of the product, saying no warranty and service will be provided, because the product was purchased online.
