Very nice game. My 5 yr old grandson and I play this for hours. He's just learning how to add and now knows different combinations of numbers that make up the rolled number on the dice.

I had played a version of Shut the Dice before, but couldn't remember how to play. I was disappointed to see that there were no clear instructions provided with the game as it made me set the game board aside for several months before I picked it up to play with my nieces and nephews. The game is fairly simple to play, but there are a lot of variations online and it kind of seems like you can make up the rules to play how you want. We are playing with younger kids so we do something simple. For example, if player 1 rolls a 12, everyone needs to flip over numbers on their board side that add up to 12 (2+12, 3+9, 4+8, 5+7). If you don't have numbers to flip over, you can do a reroll or skip the round or have to go out. The goal is to flip over all your numbers first to win. If you are playing with young kids, you can modify the rules to make it fun and keep playing. With older players, you can make the rules more strict to fit the group.The board appears well made and makes the game easier to set up and play. It looks nice enough that you can leave it on a coffee table or out on a shelf for quick and easy access. This game makes simple math problems fun and is a great way to teach younger players how to do some quick addition. It makes a great gift for children and adults of all ages and is a perfect family game for Christmas.

I have a single version of this but am so happy I got the 4 player one. This is well made, comes with enough dice for everyone to have their own if you prefer that. Cute, fun and super easy to play!

This game is very well made and I love it. I had originally bought one from another seller off Amazon and was not happy with how it looked and the material was not good. This one hits all the stars!
