Best quality and price, no worries with this one.
This item is an American Brand lock. Hard to find on the shelf anywhere but an excellent very heavy duty lock that’s well worth the money. Perfect for lock boxes on ocean container. I have them on all three of my sea containers

Solid Lock
Looks like a much more substantial lock than the aluminum lock that came with my Proven Industries trailer lock. It is a lot heavier and has to be a lot harder to drill into.

Better than Master (more pick-resistant key).
American was the first "hockey puck" hidden shackle padlock around 2006 (Model 2000). It was designed with the key on the bottom when the lock was used on a horizontal staple. Later versions had the key on the front or side although they may have been the Master brand that also was more vulnerable to picking than the American brand. I intentionally wanted an older American brand/model with the key oriented on the bottom to make picking more difficult. The bolt/shackle is larger diameter than a typical padlock so I had to find a heavy duty hasp that had a large diameter hole in the staple.

Greatly Increased my feeling of security
This was such a welcome upgrade from my standard loop style padlock. Makes my trailer feel like a vault door. Holds doors regather and handle in place snuggly. Very easy to use. Absolutely love the quality.

Do not purchase.
Lock does not fit a trailer hasp. Also if you buy these locks then try to return you won’t get all of your money back. Do not purchase.

American Lock is trustworthy, great quality.
These locks are solid and the 'keyed alike' point is what made me buy these. Each lock came with 2 keys so I have a total of 4 keys for 2 locks, I would have been happy with just 2 keys so that's a bonus. Keys have good-great bitting to help with picking attempts.
