Non-machine welding should mean this grate will be more durable and reliable but it did arrive with rust present in several areas which is not so good.True to size and hefty, this grate fit the housing we built for the front yard part of our dry well drain system. It looks good next to our concrete driveway and is sturdy enough for foot traffic and the occasional parking mishap.

The grate was purchased to cover our water meter to protect it. It bent the first time someone ran over it.

We purchased the apgbwj - Cast Iron Drain Grate to help with a drainage problem we are having around our home. My husband has dug ditches and laid out pipes to try and drain the water away from our house, but they keep getting clogged with debris. We are hoping that this will help with that. The grate is heavy and solid. The size is true to the description. This is a great product that seems to be well-made and will stand up to outdoor elements without a problem.

This cast iron grate arrived intact and in new condition as a solid, single piece. The paint finish still had an odor from manufacturing. I used it for my open fire pit and it works swimmingly. I had to burn all the paint off first. Of course, now I will need to rub oil on the grate to prevent rusting. But this grate is just what I needed for the pit.
