A well researched book that lets you know what the pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know.
A well researched book that lets you know what the pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know. I've known this for a while, and the author just blatantly tells you how it is. Sophie Wells tells you how herbalism is how we used to take care of ourselves, and gives you the remedies to use and how to make them. This is a fantastic book if you want to take control of your own health and not be on the hamster wheel of pills.

Helpful Healing Resource
I was so excited to find this book inspired by Barbara O'Neil. I follow her on Facebook; her teachings and solutions to ailments through natural remedies are amazing.T The book provides natural remedies for everything from anxiety relief to digestion issues and inflammation within 200 recipes. I love all the special bonuses that you included in the book. What makes this book great is the included video tutorials that take you through creating drinks and tinctures. Find healing for yourself in this book. It is possible with this book.

Decent Information but Needs Improvement
As an herbalist of almost two decades, I can appreciate the time and effort that went into compiling this book. There really is some great information about common herbs and natural remedies for different conditions that most people will find useful. That being said, I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement. For starters, I'll get my personal pet peeve out of the way: I'm tired of people overusing Dr. Barbara O'Neill's name and notoriety. It's fine if the author was inspired by her work, but there's no need to put her name on the front cover - in my opinion, it's a cheap marketing tactic that's piggybacking off of someone else's fame and success. If you search for "herbal remedies" on Amazon, you'll notice that many of the books have Dr. O'Neill's name on the front, and it's quite appalling to see.Anyway, aside from that pet peeve of mine, I also would have liked the book to cover the contraindications associated with each herb. Some are dangerous for pregnant/breastfeeding women, others will negatively interact with certain medications, and it would be nice if the author took the time to explain all of that, since they're effectively providing medical advice.A more minor point, but still mildly frustrating: In chapter 5, when the author goes a bit deeper into a list of antibiotic herbs, the 20 herbs are not listed in any particular order. Perhaps I'm just being picky, but I felt like it would be much easier to navigate if the list was at least sorted alphabetically.Overall, the content is okay and the recipes and appendix are nice to have, but I'd probably recommend one of Barbara O'Neill's actual books instead - like Sustain Me or Self Heal by Design.

That I don’t have to rely on dangerous drugs to heal my body. I can use herbs and food as medicine.
I bought this book to learn how to incorporate healing herbs into my everyday routine. So far, I’m very encouraged.

Informative book to remember.
They packed the book with so many interesting facts and knowledge information. Moreover, you don’t have to visit doctors for every little thing. In the old days, our forefathers relied on home remedies, and they lived long and healthy. I love the fact that they educated me about vegetable glycerin for tinctures instead of the alcohol in which I prefer rather than consuming strong alcoholic brands with high volumes.

Fantastic Book on Natural Remedies
This book is fabulous, nature has the best recipes for most remedies. If you are bloated, depressed, going through menopause, etc, there are more than 200 recipes for most issues you might be having. Apart from that if this works for you, imagine how much you can save frombuying medications. This is the best book i have come across on the subject. Well researched and written book.

Important information
This was hard to review. I think the information in this book is of utmost importance, especially in this day and age of pills being prescribed for everything. However, I do feel concerned that the author has no credentials. Nor does she have a website or links to her authority. Given the nature of the material and it being offered as health remedies, I would hesitate to recommend without the confidence of backed training credentials.
