I use this product to mount 1/8" thick barn quilts using a good glue (I use a product called "goop") to secure the product to the back of the barn quilt. Works great even for 3' by 3' barn quilts.

I'm a big fan of OOK hangers and these D-rings did not disappoint. I would buy these again if more are needed.

I've hoisted fully-built 426 Hemis on my own-built engine hoists, and believe me these D-rings are great for any medium-sized and weight painting frame. The "D" wires have plenty of extra material bent where it needs it (so as to pull through), and just to show you I know what I'm talking about, the "D" wire is 0.111" thick; according to a CNC Lathing chart of mechanical properties, even if this material is aluminum alloy, it should hold your life-size painting of your favorite golden retriever, Roscoe.

These are exactly as advertised I use them to hang my large canvas painting stretched on wooden frames. I use one on each side at the back of each paintings. The largest painting I have hung was 7 feet tall by 5 feet wide. it weights about 45 pounds. The hooks thin, but will hold a painting about 1/8" to 1//4" away from the wall depending on how precisely you install the hanging nail or screw. I attached my hooks to a slightly recessed support board on the back of the frame and the paintings hang perfectly flush to the wall. You could route out a small rectangle in the wood before you attach the hanger to get the same effect. I also recomend this type of hanger for a flush mounting Interlocking Flushmount
