Work so well that when I put my feet up, a beer appeared in my hand.

Motive socks have been around for years and the "Bring me beer" type I've seen many times, however I've never actually owned a pair until now.... and they worked! I just so happened to have my feet up watching a film with the kids when my eldest quietly got up to get herself a drink from the kitchen. She came back moments later with her drink and in the other hand was a beer for me. I didn`t even ask for one she simply saw my socks. lol.They are perfectly fitting with a stretch type material, possibly a little pricey to be purchased for every day use, but makes the perfect gift to anyone with a sense of humour. They are of a good quality if not a little on the thin side, ideal for warmer months of the year not so much during winter.I like them a lot and as a result of wearing them, it marked an important time in a fathers life when his child goes and fetches him a beer, for the first time.

These socks are great to gift as a novelty gift. They are really well made and the writing has survived a few washes without any peeling. They are quite elasticated which gives them a bit of stretch but I did find they would slips down occasionally. I think these are great for a bit of gifting fun and I would definitely get them again.

Novelty socks always go down well as gifts and these are definitely like many I've tried before. They come vacuum packed, which I thought was a little disappointing for the gift market. That said, take them out and gift wrap them yourself!The socks are thinnish - summer socks I would say, but you can pull in them quite a long way, which I guess is due to the 3% spandex element. I think the claim that they fit size 6-11 is unusual. We tried them on a size 7 - no problem. We tried them on a size 10 and yes, they went on, but they were stretched quite tight. Perhaps we have wider feet than most, but I'd be happier giving them to someone at the lower end of the sizing range.If you're after a bit of fun, then these socks are just that. They've not been washed yet but are machine washable so hopefully the lettering will stay intact. They're priced to fit the market and certainly gave us a giggle.

I got these as a gift for a friend, they went down very well. The socks are nicely made, the embroidered writing looks good. The size is good, comfortably fit 7-11 feet. They are quite thin however, definitely summer socks.

This review is for the grey/black socks so can't speak for the all black ones. Decent socks made of cotton polyester blend I believe. They feel nice on and are actually okay socks considering they are a novelty gift sock. The words/pattern are part of the sock material, they arent printed on after, so it won't wear off, if that makes sense. Overall I would definitely recommend the Grey/black socks to any lover of Football or for a gift.

The socks look exactly as pictured and seem fairly robust and well made.The quote is woven in as part of the sock, so no fear of it washing off or fading away, which was better then I expected.The fit was good on a size 10 with no issue.Perfect novelty gift for that layabout in your life who always has his feet up...
