UPDATE: customer service is great. (Not a great fit. It doesn't tighten down enough.)
Update (previous review is below). Ainope reached out to me directly. My vehicle (2020 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x) has vents that would not work with the adjustable arm version, but the small version worked. They sent me a free CD slot version because I didn’t want to block my vents. The CD version works great! Would recommend that version. 5+ stars for customer service! There are 2 phone mounts that come with this, and 1 phone holder that you attach to whichever mount you decide to use. The mount with the extendable/adjustable arm is the one I wanted to use, so it wouldn't block the vents. It does not tighten down enough to safely use. It is loose enough, that when you put your phone in the cradle, the whole arm moves. One good bump and I could see this thing flying off. The idea is good, but it just doesn't work with my vents. Oddly enough, the smaller mount (which looks identical in nature to the larger one) tightens down just fine, but blocks the vent. I'm currently using it for now, but am already looking for a different option. I wouldn't recommend this one, unless you know for certain it will tightly fit your vents.

Nice product
Ainope is my "go-to" for all my phone accessories. Very dependable. Always improving and updating their stuff, and it works and makes sense to me. I like how this particular one holds my phone and is able to be tightened without obstructing the airflow from my vents. Sometimes, I find that through somw bumpy terrain, it will cause the neck to slip a bit and my phone is tilted a little, but that makes sense to me, because the weight has been compromised once you add momentum to the phone...and then there's the gravity of the situation as well. But my road trips are flawless, and so are my other smooth terrain expeditions. I was skeptical on the price, but after purchasing these a few times for my son and husband, I was like, yeah, it is worth it. I highly recommend. I am not disappointed.

Solid design with good options
Overall, I think this is a great phone holder. The design allows it to adjust for almost any phone you drop into it, and it functions wirelessly—or it's no problem to plug a cord into the bottom if needed. Installation is easy, but once it's on, it basically renders that vent unusable for airflow. Still, if you're okay sacrificing one vent for a secure and convenient spot to keep your phone, it's definitely worth it. Solid grip, good charging options, and a sleek look make it a strong buy.

Great option for positioning phone relative to air vent
First, this didn't work so well on a third generation Prius due to the height of the piece that fits flush up against the front of the air vent louvers. So a different phone holder went in that car. This phone holder works well for flexibility in where the phone is positioned relative to the air vent. It does position the phone well in front of the air vent so more air flow out of that vent. At first blush the phone seemed like it would be extended so far out on this mount that road vibration would cause the phones screen to shake enough to impede visual clarity. So far that hasn't been the case. The mounts attachment to the vent is solid while still allowing some vent adjustment to redirect air flow. Even though a fixed position mount would have worked on the car this is in, it turns out that this unit's flexibility of positioning and sticking out away from the dash make center console controls easily visible and accessible behind a large phone.

Very good product
Very great product sturdy, and I’ve had it for about three years now it’s still works small compact it doesn’t obstruct your vision. Unlike the ones that go in your windshield you can hardly tell that it’s there easy to install easy to remove.

I can finally use my vents!
I've owned the original Ainope phone holder for years. It's well-made and the gravity-assisted grip is easy to use in the dark or without taking your eyes off the road – just drop it in or lift it straight up and out. I've found it useful and inexpensive enough that I've bought them for friends and family as gifts whenever possible. I really only had two complaints about the device. One was that included vent attachment was designed in such a way that it was incompatible with the round vents of my Nissan Altima – the hook was too wide to slip between the fins. I found a way around that by placing it in a less optimal location, which then led me to the other problem: while the mechanism is great at holding your device securely to the vent, your phone is, by design, directly in the path of a constant stream of hot or cold air. Normally it's not an issue but in the winter when you're using the heat, the phone can get HOT. Like, shutdown hot. So, you're kind of forced to direct the air up or down at your feet. This version, with the extension arm, fixes both of these issues. The new attachment for the vent itself is now narrower and now made of metal, so I’m able to use it with the round vents in the location I prefer. Also, the phone doesn’t have to sit directly in front of the vent, so you’re not limited to where you can output your heat or air. You’re also able to arrange the phone in a more variety of positions to meet whatever your needs are for visibility or comfort of reach. Even though this version is more expensive, it’s worth the extra cost for the flexibility you get with this newer style attachment. All is not perfect, however, as the additional weight created by having the phone so far from where it attaches to the vent created a pivot point and amplifies the strain as you place and remove your device from the holder. It will require you to tighten it from time to time. So far, though, it seems to be holding up well.

Support très bien qui reste en place grâce à son système de crochet (pas comme les autres que tu le rentre et à la moindre secousse tombe) et de plus vous avez le choix entre celui classique du téléphone coller au ventilateur ou celui qui le met plus bas.

I bought this phone holder for subaru that has a slanted vent. it is very well designed and built solid. the knobs tighten strong and the phone slides in and out very easy. it works great, worth the money.

Arrived without issue. Installed easily and works very well for my set up. Will see how this holds up during the colder winter months and will look for cracking etc. But initially really good

This phone holder works really well for everyday use, it grips the phone securely, installs easily on the vent, and the gravity design makes it simple to drop the phone in with one hand. It holds steady while driving, but I did notice that it wobbles a bit when you tap the screen, especially on rougher roads. It’s not a deal-breaker, but something to be aware of if you frequently interact with your phone for navigation. Aside from that, it’s a convenient and reliable mount that does its job.
