Love Olympus 4
I purchased the last shoe of this make in my size that I was able to locate on the internet.. They are my favorite walking/hiking shoe, with room in the foot box for my toes to expand, plenty of support for my high arch, and comfort for long walks. These shoes are such winners! Hiked 600 miles in my last pair through Spain. Very sad they no longer manufacture them. Olympus 5 ‘s don’t hold a candle to the Olympus 4’s!

most awesome running shoes ever
I'll state up front, running shoes are a very personal item and everyone has different feet. I must have tried 20 different running shoes in my search for the perfect running shoe. I find these Altras to be very comfortable and the wide ball area and zero drop are perfect for my feet and running style. I probably use these for 50% paved roads and 50% dirt/gravel trails and the tread is holding up well after many months of use. I am probably going to order another pair before this pair wears out to be sure I have a spare on hand.I only have one complaint. The mesh over the big toe on the right shoe has worn through. It doesn't affect anything with the shoe in use, and nothing else has worn out or fallen apart.

Altra has given me Hobbit feet!
My feet don't look human any more. The Altra zero drop and minimalist sole have really beefed them up. I started with Lone Peak 4.5s and then added the Olympus for long descents from the summit of Pikes Peak down Barr Trail, which is a technical and very rocky descent over 12+miles.I have not rolled an ankle in over a year now. I still like my speed goats for non tech long run days, but on tech terrain the Altras are the bomb. The Altras have a really wide toe box that has allowed my toes to splay out naturally. The width makes them very stable. The minimal sole creates good ground feel.So the stability and tactile feel work together to render a significantly improved experience on technical terrain.

Soles Wear Quickly
These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever slapped on my feet. They’re on the expensive side, but worth it. Only complaint is that the Vibram soles wore completely flat in around a year.

So comfortable!
Love the wide toe box. Great for 12 hour shifts in the hospital.

Best shoes ever owned
These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Someone actually made a shoe that’s the same shape as my foot! The fit on the heal is snug, with room to wiggle my toes. And there’s a lot of extra support to prevent rolling an ankle.I’m only bewildered by the choice of them not putting rubber under the middle of the heal area on the sole.Otherwise, it’s completely worth the price.Buy a size up.

Fit is Fabulous- Couldn't be Happier
This is my first time buying Altra shoes and I couldn't be happier. I wear size 11 and the shoes fit perfectly, plenty of cushioning. I also like the slightly padded tongue which contributes to the comfort. They didn't need to "break in" as they were comfortable the first time I wore them. Very nice shoes!

Toe box slightly tight.
I typically love Altra shoes. However, the last two pairs of shoes I've purchased were either too small in length or a little tight in width. The overall comfort of the Olympus is good. Not great. The length is perfect to a 9.5, the width is slightly tighter than the norm. Heel comfort is awesome! I usually have heel pain when wearing my combat boots. But when I wear these, the heel pain goes away. I wish I had a little more breathing room in the toe box, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.

Probably the best thru hiking shoes EVER
Wide toe box to reduce blistering and let the foot fall naturally = MORE KMS, higher sole = many comfort, vibram, toe guard... LOOK GREAT. I want to buy another pair to keep nice for later? Altra is incredible. shoes fit exactly to my normal sizing. So far I have done 40KMS on trail and they are a dream.Going to put these through the ringer and report back

Great running shoe
Having owned both the lone peak and timp with no issues i thought i would give the olympus a try as they where on offer, no complaints, no stability issues, grippy & good toe room. A*****

Wrong colour sent
Ordered ladies size 7 in orange. Received man's size 7 in yellow. A pair of socks thrown in, presumably to compensate for not having the stock they said they had. Decided to keep the shoes as their quality is excellent.
