I have dry and sensitive skin. I use a sunblock that is all natural, mineral based, tinted, with moisturizing oils...oh and with beeswax so it's waterproof. It has been hard to find a cleanser that is gentle enough for my dry and sensitive skin but will also effectively remove all the sunblock without having to double cleanse or exfoliate my skin off.I had been using 2 cleansers to try and get all my sunblock off and then using toner to catch the remaining residue that the gentle cleansers didn't--that gets annoying and is time consuming. I am ecstatic to have found this cleanser. I have spent much time researching good cleansers but most I found required a double cleanser or were for more oily skin.This liquid cleanser has a mild citrus scent, comes in an easy to dispense bottle, where the opening is not super large that the soap ends up cascading out in a waterfall, and easily cleans my face thoroughly without needing a second wash. I used a nickel sized amount but it didn't necessarily foam but it still cleansed well and with ease. I used toner on my face afterwards to check and there was minimal color residue from my tinted sunblock. My skin was not red even though I was massaging vigorously with my fingers to make sure I got everything off. My face didn't get irritated or red and most importantly was clean after one wash. I have found my cleanser!

I am such a stickler for details. I could not rate it higher because the ad did NOT disclose ALL ingredients in the product. Because I have sensitive and dry skin, I like to review ingredient list PRIOR to purchase. (My pet-peeve because any topical applied to the skin an ingredient can and does absorb into the body through the skin.) When I DID review the list of ingredients, I like to see what the key or active ingredients are. What is the # 1 ingredient. In this product WATER was the # 1 ingredient. And if my non-scientific knowledge can detect anything I should be concerned about. I did notice GLYCERIN was mentioned 2 times in different order in the ingredient list. I did not see any "bad" ingredients, again, with my limited knowledge. I did not look up each ingredient by its chemical name.This appears to be a NEW product with limited "narrative" on the ad site. I did see the photos/slides, but limited verbiage. I don't know enough about the ingredient mix to know if this is basically an "oil based" gel as usually those are the ones used to remove makeup. I guess I was left "wondering" and unsure how this cleanser was to be better than another gel foaming cleanser that I have. I do personally like oil-based gel cleansers, or any mild foaming cleanser.I could not rate the product higher than a 4-star.I do like to click on the link to the seller site, Algenist. I was thrilled to see that this company has depth and knowledge and specializes in the skin care line. And looking at the ratings of their existing products, this gave me comfort.Product lathered up well, with just a pea size amount of gel. I use a sponge face pad dedicated to my cleansers. This truly did product a lot of foam, I probably could use less.My skin was not dried out after cleansing. Much appreciated for that.OTHER: Product HAS a vacuum sealed foil seal under the cap to prevent leakage and help the product to be tamper resistant. There was some marking (I assume lot #) on the bottom of the box under the UPC. The same code was imprinted on the crimped top of the tube. But, I did NOT see any manufacture date and NO expiration date.

Algenist is a brand that offers effective and gentle skin care products that are fueled by Alguronic Acid a proprietary blend of marine micro algae that has been found to be effective and gentle in anti aging skin care. I’ve used their creams and serums before, but this is the first time I’ve used their cleanser. It’s so luxurious, rich and gentle on my skin. The formulation is rich in plant based collagen and amino acids. The lather is gentle enough to use around my eyes to remove mascara. There is a light fresh scent that is just lovely. My skin feels so hydrated and protected afterward. This formulation is hypoallergenic and perfect for my sensitive skin. This is a 5 ounce tube of quality, anti aging cleanser cleanser that I will recommend to everyone!

Star off for not being more transparent about the ingredients (the product container itself doesn’t list any at all). However, the cleanser itself is fantastic. The only other brands I can use for my rosacea-prone skin are ones like Vanicream. I have severe reactions to most facial products, so it is nerve-wracking to try a new one—but this cleanser is gentle and hasn’t caused a flare in the couple weeks I have been testing it. I’m happy!

I am very pleased with this facial cleanser. It is gentle on the skin, yet cleans very well. It has a nice fresh scent. I have not noticed any redness or irritation with this product. It came in a foil sealed tube to ensure no leakage. A little goes a long way. I placed about a pea-sized amount in my palm, added water, worked it up to a foam, and it was sufficient to wash my face. It leaves your skin clean and soft and doesn't feel dried out. It is a good value as the one tube will last me a long time.

Really nice facial cleaner. No residue- Easily rinses. Doesn't feel dry afterwards. Doesn't smell bad.Left my face feeling softer. So kind of like a two in one. Facial cleaner - then a toner. To me, feels close to using both of those.

I really like this cleanser as it left my face feeling soft and clean. Some cleansers tend to dry out my skin after use, but not this one. My face felt smooth to the touch. I initially used about a quarter sized amount, but less could have been used, about a nickel. It was more than enough, so this will last a while. It lathered up nicely and was easy to rinse. It has a really nice smell too. Great cleanser that does the job.

I have sensitive skin and this cleanser has been working really well. It doesn’t dry out my skin or make me break out. The price point is fair for the quality. I will definitely buy this again.
