Great quality works really well, interchangeable heads are really helpful too

Fantastic tool, heats up quickly and cuts accurately and smoothly through polystyrene and foam. Really easy to use and change out the heads for different jobs, shapes and needs. It's OK for the price, I would definitely have given it 5 stars but the power cable that came with it split close to the end that goes into the tool after a week of using it, and no longer works as the wires inside we can see are completely severed. We tried using other power cords that we have that fit and had the same voltage and wattage output and whilst some didn't work one did but it does not get the tool nearly as hot as the proper cord did. We've ordered a new which arrived today. We didn't contact the seller to tell them about the cable failing as we were desperate for a new one and couldn't wait around for replies to messages.

I bought this kit for one reason only, I had such a lot of polystyrene packaging that came with various items, I got fed up with trying to break it up or cut it up into manageable pieces to fit in the rubbish bin. With this excellent piece of kit, I am able to cut it all up into small, manageable pieces AND without making a mess, i.e. lots of little bits flying about all over the place! Okay so it might smell a little, but it's not that bad. In fact in can be quite therapeutic effortlessly cutting up polystyrene into small pieces. I can see too how easy it would be to use it for modelling and with a little practice, make some nice scenery/models.

This is a great little cutter and heats up very quickly. We used it to cut sheets of 50mm thick polystyrene. Due to the thickness of the material, cutting was quite slow, but not unexpected. It seals the edge which was our primary goal so as to prevent the usual "fraying" of the edges when cut with a saw or knife. I was pleased with the tool which ships with a variety of cutting attachments which simply slot into the main body. The job it has done is the only job I required it to do and it managed that pretty well considering it's cost.

Ein wirklich super Gerät. Es schneidet Schaumstoff wie Butter. Für jeden Hobbybastler ein muss. Leider war für mich der Drahtschneider zu klein, somit musste ich ihn zurückgeben. Die Rückerstattung ging auch super schnell und ohne Probleme. Ich kann den Schaumstoffschneider trotzdem sehr empfehlen.
