Little Acorns DIY Vinyl Growth Chart Ruler Decal Kit, Small Numbers

Love this quality decal kit for creating your own growth chart ruler! The instructions were so clearly written, so follow them to a 't' an you'll end up with professional results. From start to finish it was a quick and easy task. I purchased a smooth pre-sanded 6"x 8' oak board from Home Depot and lightly sanded the edges, wiping off all resulting dust. I then applied one coat of a natural color stain, which gave it a perfect old-school wooden ruler finish, and allowed it to thoroughly dry. After a a couple days dry-time, I simply followed the provided instructions and ended up with a perfect birthday gift for my 1-year old granddaughter. I highly recommend this quality product from Little Acorns. They are prompt with great customer care upon contacting them. I will definitely do business with them again.

This is such a great kit! Very thorough instructions and easy to apply - make sure you have a tape measure though. I used a 1"x6"x8' poplar board from Lowe's and had them cut it down to 6ft (for free). I sanded it to smooth the edges and corners but did not paint or stain the wood. The directions are easy to follow, just make sure you do follow them! I think the person who ended up with the measurements being off didn't mark each foot on the board before placing, because if you do pre-measure, you will end up with a (needed) gap between each foot long section (see picture). If you put them so they are touching, they will be wrong! I did have a little trouble with a few of the tick marks wanting to stay on the backing when peeling, so just make sure you take your time. The hardest thing for me was eye-balling where to put the numbers. I also plan on putting a finishing coat over the whole thing.

I am so excited to create a growth chart for my family. We have been keeping track of the kids' growth in a doorway for years, but will be moving soon and wanted to take the memories with us. The instructions are very clear and seem like they will be easy to follow. Thank you for making this a DIY project!Update: In the process of moving I managed to misplace my decals, so I ordered a second set. While packing, I found the first set and promptly put it in a new "safe place", so safe, even I couldn't find it. When I went to construct the project with the second set, I had lost the numbers that came with it. I contacted the company and they immediately sent me a replacement set of numbers! While unpacking, I not only found the first set of decals, but also the missing numbers from the second set. I will be sending the additional set of numbers back to the company and sending my sister the additional set of decals to construct her own growth chart. The project has been fun and easy to complete as long as I follow the thorough directions. The customer service has been amazing and I can't wait to post a picture when my project is complete.

I used an oak board with no stain or paint. Did not stain because I was concerned how ink might not adhere to a stain-polyurethane very well. It was easy to apply the decals. Just lay out a tape measure and line the ticks up. I started the bottom of the board at 1 foot instead of the 8" recommended. There were a few ticks I had to give extra pressure to but other than that it went down well. I rarely write reviews but I am impressed with the look and ease of DYI.

I purchased this, not to be used with a sheet of wood to look like a ruler like most folks here, but to put over top of my large tree decal in my nursery. i wanted the tree to be the growth chart. I love the look of the final product but it was just OK to install. I've installed a lot of wall decals and my biggest complaint with this one was that each foot was on a separate piece of paper. it made it difficult as I had to line up each piece and it was hard getting it to match 100 percent. I would recommend that the seller have this all one one piece and mail it rolled up. It would make it much easier to install. But overall, for the price, it was a great product.

I bought a 6 ft board and after the decal lines were placed I could have benefited from another Ft tick decal (to represent the 6ft mark). If I would have bought an 8 ft board I wouldn't have had enough decal lines to go above like what is shown in the examples. But, I'm happy with how my board turned out. I sought out this DIY project because I was moving to a new home and needed a solution. I had many measured marks on my kids door throughout the years, and I wanted to take these measurements with me to the new house. Before I moved I recorded all the measurements and will now be able to transpose to my New Cool growth chart! Now I will be able to continue to record my kids measurements & most importantly have the history of their growth!

We needed a new height chart for the kids and I envisioned an oversized wooden ruler. The instructions were straightforward and made of quality material.As a heads-up, the instructions advise the bottom of the chart begin at 8" not at 0 (top measurement ends at 6'8"). This means you have to ensure it hangs on the wall exactly 8 inches from the floor for correct measurements. Alternatively, you can start at 0" and not hang at all.

This growth chart pack is fantastic! Each marker is very acurate. If you take your time to make sure everything is properly lined up, then you will love this product too! Thank you so much! Oh, and wonderful price point.
