Not Practical: Slippery and Thin Titanium Cutting Board
I tested the smallest size of this titanium cutting board, and there are several inconveniences for me. First, it has no anti-slip function at all, so when I’m chopping, it often moves around and doesn’t stay in place. Second, it’s very thin and a bit slippery on the surface, so when I’m handling foods with a lot of moisture (like tomatoes), the water tends to run onto the table. Third, when my knife blade makes contact with the surface, it creates a sound and sensation that I’m not familiar with (compared to wooden or plastic cutting boards), and I’m not sure if this material will negatively affect my knife’s edge. Lastly, despite being made of metal, it’s still quite prone to knife marks.
