BRODYS Drain Device - AC Drain Line Cleaner, Gallo Drain Gun, 6 CO2

We went away for a couple of days, and when we came back, our Nest thermostat was giving us an error message, "No power to the R wire, error e195." Of course, I had no clue what that meant, so I dove into YouTube University and discovered that I still had no clue what that meant. I saw a video that warned us there may be a clog in the drain line and offered a couple of options to fix it. I tried blowing air into the line with my handy little leaf blower, but nothing happened. We tried our shop vac, and still nothing. Finally, though I was loathe to throw money at the problem, I decided to try this CO2 drain line cleaner. I was able to have it delivered early this morning, and I used it right away. I used all 6 cylinders because I am stupid, but boy, oh boy, the amount of gunk that FLEW out of the drain line was amazing! It was super gross, but it did the trick! I highly recommend this product to clean out your AC drain line.

Works great, but won’t buy again, Better to have the unit get a cleanup and call a professional to see if there’s other issues.

I was skeptical, to be honest. Could a small CO2 cartridge really do what my powerful shop vac couldn't? The answer is a resounding YES. ​Ease of Use: This tool is brilliantly simple. The instructions were crystal clear, and it took less than 60 seconds to screw in the CO2 cartridge and attach the nozzle to my drain line's cleanout port. ​The Magic Moment: I held the tool firmly against the pipe, took a deep breath, and pulled the trigger. The "WHOOSH" was powerful and immediate. I ran outside to the end of the drain line, and what I saw was both disgusting and beautiful: a sudden, forceful gush of water and a year's worth of built-up algae gunk blasted right out of the pipe. The clog was completely obliterated in a single shot. ​The Result: I went back inside, poured some water down the cleanout port to test it, and it flowed freely for the first time in ages. The AC kicked back on and has been running perfectly ever since. . It did make the back up issue a little better, but I also needed to get a shop vac to suction the opposite end of the ac drain pipe. I was hoping for the price it would have blown the blockage all the way out, but using all of the cartridges it came with didn’t totally get the job done in my case.

Worked like a charm! Make sure the safety is on before loading a cartridge. Load it after you have connected the hose. Put the rubber tip in and hold it. Pull trigger and hold it until you hear all of the gas is gone. I had tried a wet/dry vacuum before getting this. What came out looked like sand. My drain is connected to the sink drain in the upstairs bathroom. The sand blasted out of the sink drain.

Was very disappointed with this product . Only thing it is good for is cleaning out a straw! Did nothing for my drain line . And not cost effective.
