Fits Vision Kamado Professional Ceramic Charcoal Grill (images attached)
It was frustrating and time-consuming trying to identify the correct thermostat for my Vision Orange Egg, but this is the right one. My egg sees heavy use and it is the best BBQ grill that I have ever owned in terms of functionality, aesthetics, and ease. Unfortunately, the combination of planned obsolescence and frequent Miami rain has taken a toll on my beloved egg (even with a cover). This morning I repaired four problems that near-simultaneously came to roost in my grill, although the thermostat hasn't functioned properly since year three (the needle simply went flaccid--which apparently happens to elderly needles). It took me less than three minutes to switch-out the thermometer and it fits perfectly (be sure to lock the retainer clip in place). There are other things that need doing when your egg succumbs to entropy and I recommend knocking them out simultaneously: replace the bowl seals (upper and lower), replace the brittle vent knob, and replace the deteriorating ash pan (this last is beyond the skill of most readers, so have one fabricated in stainless steel--it's not expensive). I have always used an electric starter and therefore the ceramic bowl has absorbed the unadulterated vapors of hundreds of BBQ events and spilled Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, therefore making it priceless. The cheapskates at Vision could have built an egg grill that would last almost forever, but where's the money in that? They don't sell replacement parts either--which really chaps my hide. Since I studied Metallurgical Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, I have upgraded my egg using a la carte Amazon items and used household gear so that it will probably outlive me. The cheap, ill-designed plastic paddle knob on the dome vent will break off in your hand after a couple of years, so I replaced mine with an old steak knife, which gives better leverage and keeps your knuckles further away from the minor burns that I have sustained redundantly because I grill with Sierra Nevada in its myriad ale manifestations. I am a retired Marine, don't try this at home, kids. Replacing the bowl seals (available on Amazon, but associated with a different BBQ) can also be rapidly accomplished while intoxicated. All you need is a putty knife and the charred upper and lower seals peel right off. The replacement seals come with three acetone wipes, which beautifully remove what remains of the legacy seals in seconds. Be sure to line-up the new seals with the inside edge of the bowl as you go around. The new seal will protrude about 1/4" from the outside diameter of the egg, but it doesn't hurt anything and it's not unsightly. If you aren't drinking Sierra Nevada, you could probably trim it with a scalpel, but I am only willing to spill blood for, well, Sierra Nevada.

Easy to read UI, but the fastening clip won't stay locked
My new 4 star review: I'm giving the manufacturer and extra star here, as they reached out to me with good intention to resolve the issue. Cheers! My original 3 star review: I love the dial itself, you can clearly see everything, it is large, and provides some nice cooking range info... the only part that isn't so good is the clip that goes inside, to hold the dial in place. It kept sliding off the metal pole. I eventually just glued it permanently since i'm satisfied with the quality of the temperature info i get...

Works well
Much cheaper than the OEM gauge and it works very well. Very accurate too.

"BIG AND SO EASY TO READ!"
I purchased this thermometer to fit on a Char Broil grill. I knew full well going in that this thermometer would not physically fit, since the hole in the hood of my grill is approximately 3/8" of an inch. The stem on this thermometer is about 1/8" inch so it "floats" in the 3/8" hole. However using some stainless steel washers and (1) very small stainless steel set screw clamp, the thermometer is now secure. The next step was to confirm the accuracy of the thermometer. Using a high end meat thermometer, I compared the two displays and they were very close if not spot on. In the end, I'm very happy with this purchase and oh by the way, several visitors have remarked how easy it is to read the thermometer.

Actually, Zero stars
WILDLY inaccurate. I was trying to figure out why my smoked ribs came out extra crispy, so I decided to check this thermometer installed on my medium Big Green Egg against two digital thermometers. This thermometer read 190*, but my digital thermometers read 429*. Basicly, completely useless.

Great replacement for the BGE thermometer!
The higher temp range is great for my BGE. And the price was outstanding! Calibration was off just a scouse (as in just 1 needle width @ 212F). Close enough not to worry about trying to adjust it. And the reduced length of the probe from what came with the BGE means I won't be having to worry as much about it when cooking big birds. Would highly recommend.

Looks Well Made Easy Install
I’m giving it 3 stars because there are some things that remain to be seen as I have not had a chance to use it. Seems very sturdy. It’s easy to read and appears well made. Fits my large green egg well. I will update my review tomorrow as I will be stoking the fire to its hottest for pizzas!
