At first, I was a little skeptical about this product but after getting it and seeing it, this is a very well-made, product quality, exactly as described

My mac-book bricked and I kept the hard drive to use as a backup. This case fit the hard drive perfectly. When I plugged it in to my new Windows laptop the hard-drive wasn't initially recognized. This was due to it being a mac hard drive and Apple's aggressive brand loyalty incompatibly programming. I was able to fix it after a quick google search. This is to say, it's not the case's fault that incompatibility issues arise. Some other reviews here from less tech savvy buyers blame the case for issues that are actually issues with their drive. From the feel of it I'm confident that this case would survive the apocalypse, which is great as I use it to hold important data backups for my small business. The front and back are metal and the sides and back are covered by thick rubber. The case is held together by six metal screws and the drive is held in by interior padding. I don't think you can beat this quality for the price.

No real issues per say. Product is ok value. Was really looking for more flexibility like tool less but was unable to find the options I wanted with a rugged case.

Unfortunately new WD10JUCT HD will not format with this enclosure due to CRC errors... i will try another enclosure with a different controller chip and update the review if the HD has a problem. Same result....This enclosure worked with a new WD BLK HD.

I purchased this enclosure to replace one that looks used that I recently purchased. This one arrived on time. IT was in a sealed box and sealed bag. It had the paper work with it. Easy to install the SSD inside and it worked as soon as I plugged it in. Metal cover is thin, but the cases seems well made and looks good. I would buy another one if needed.

This thing is fantastic for the price. Comes in a nice box with torx screws and a little torx screwdriver. I like how they built-in the cable! Case is also very rugged. I'm using this with a 1 TB 960 EVO SSD as a backup drive, fits perfectly. Now I just hope the electronics hold up over time but I get the impression it will. IMO, worth paying a few more bucks over the "budget enclosures" out there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

so far so good. this is a well-constructed product. it is a bit tricky to install the shock casing but if you are mechanically inclined it will be easy to install a hard drive. this comes with 6 screws and a matching Torx screwdriver the screws are self-tapping and the holes are pre-drilled but untapped. this helps to strengthen the casing in the event of a shock. great product will update as life progresses.
