The Introspective Superstar
I got interested in tennis as a player and fan in the 1970s, at which time Jimmy Connors was my favorite professional. Then in 1989, a young guy named Pete Sampras caught my attention. After he retired, I saw the rise of Federer and Nadal and liked them both. But this guy Djokovic really caught my attention as a player and personality in his earlier Djoker phase. The fact that he could rise to become part of the Big 3 and then ultimately ascend to the GOAT was an amazing journey to behold. In addition to being a great athlete, Novak is unique in that his level of introspection is off the charts; he’s not afraid to tell the world what’s on his mind on a wide variety of subjects. This book really captures this aspect of his personality. My only slight nit to pick is that the author should have cited Jon Wertheim for the 60-Minutes interview, as Jon is a tennis expert and a key team member of The Tennis Channel. It’s going to be interesting to see what Novak achieves once he retires from tennis.

well researched
The book was sort of repetitive, but I am a Novak fan so I didn’t mind too much. I did skim some of it though.

If you are a huge Novak fan
This book is a compilation of information culled from the new, newspapers, interviews and so on. The author has also added some commentary and speculation. If you really want to learn about Novak…this is probably a good place to start if you don’t have much access to the internet.I did not find much new here for me to learn as I have read a great number of articles About Novak over the years.Still, an enjoyable read. Thank you .
