Our avian vet has always said adding Rooster Booster to the chickens water, or given it to them by oral syringe, is the second thing you should do after separating an injured/sick bird from the flock so it can recover (other than immediate wound treatment if necessary). We have used this product when getting baby chicks, receiving and bonding new pollutes to the flock, for injured/sick chickens and in times of extreme hot or cold weather. R.B. really helps.
