Nice pool cover and warranty honored
This was the second cover I ordered for my pool. The first one lasted over a year and we took it off/on several times a week, so there was a lot of wear and tear on it. The cover kept the pool warm during the summer so I didn’t need to heat it, which saved money on the gas bill. This second cover started to disintegrate after 3 months. The bubbles peeled off and hundreds of the particles were deposited into the pool. I attached pictures for reference. The first cover was very sturdy so we were surprised that this one was not the same good quality. I contacted the manufacturer and they asked us to send in pictures. After reviewing it, they honored the warranty and sent a replacement within a week. The new cover is holding up so far and we have high hopes for it. I would definitely purchase this again from this company, as they stand by their product.

Great at keeping your pool heat in
We have a heated in ground salt water pool and purchased the solar cover to keep heating costs down. Ordered the closest size available and measured 4 times to make sure, we then used a marker and a piece of wood to make lines where to cut all the way down both sides and we cut it perfectly. Don’t forget to measure inside the cement curb that goes over your pool or it won’t be wide enough 👍 We have 50 degree nights still so it’s kept our pool in the high 70s the whole time which saves money!! Gave it 4 stars because this is our first year using our pool so can’t rate how long it will last but it seems to be great quality and one person can roll it up and place it on by themselves if you purchase a roller which I recommend also

used all season, wish it was a bit larger size for our fiberglass pool
Our pool is 14' x 30' including fiberglass edges along concrete walkway. This cover is barely wide enough to cover the long pool edges with about 6" overlap on which we use heavy rocks to hold in place so it doesn't blow away. However, if this product were about also 3' to 4' longer ideal for total length of our pool but for our purpose we don't cover one end that has steps so the dog can access as a bathtub/cooling treat anyways. So if you buy this, be aware the product does not come with a lot of excess/overage material that I believe other manufacturers we've purchased covers usually include. Have not had this width coverage issue before, but again not concerned about the length for our usage.Mentioned we do place heavy rocks on the cover/concrete to keep the wind from blowing it away. I will say this cover and thickness has not so far shown any degradation/damage from weight or abrasion of the rocks as other covers we've purchased did show those issues sooner than expected (i.e., air bubbles would pop/break, surface scratch/damaged). This product has not shown those issues for a summer season's use so far. Also, although we have not super-shocked our pool with the cover on intentionally, maybe once, we usually keep free chlorine at 2-5 ppm and this cover has not shown so far any degradation or meaningful discoloration, whereas prior products used did show sooner signs of damage. Could be we are being more careful with this cover and chlorine usage, but the normal 2-5 ppm seems to be reasonable for this cover, at least the first season. With other products, the chlorine effects usually show certainly by end of first season/second season and significant issues thereafter. So maybe the material and gauge thickness we purchased this round will last longer than prior products which may not have had same thickness or product quality.Other covers we purchased had tendency where seams are glued as it is multi-panel, to show signs of detachment, although so far this cover has not to-date.So for now, would say I would buy this particular product again for its overall quality and longevity, but would seek out a longer length size and maybe 1 foot wider width.

Only one season!
When we first got this I loved it. It heated the pool nicely. We took it off and put it on the roller once the season heated up. After Labor Day the cover went back on but now the bubbles are coming off and it doesn't seem to work very well. Also it's not floating like it's supposed to. I have contacted the seller to see what can be done.

Deceptive marketing - YES. Good value - TBD.
Usually pool cover performance is directly proportional to the thickness of the cover. Thicker covers are better at retaining heat and aren't as easily blown off the pool by strong winds. Cover thickness is measured in mils (mil = thousands of an inch) and range from around 8 to 16 mils. This vendor (Save More On Pool Supplies), like most, is selling a series of pool covers. Unlike other vendors they have labeled their covers using different "Styles" such as 800 Series, 1200 Series, 1600 Series, etc. and not the actual thickness of the material. Having purchased many covers from multiple vendors over the years I assumed that 800 Series = 8 mils thick, 1200 Series = 12 mils, 1600 Series = 16 mils, etc. and purchased the 1200 Series cover which is what I have purchased from many other vendors in the past.Upon receiving the 1200 Series cover I noticed it was much thinner than my previous 12 mil covers. I contacted the vendor via email stating this and asked for clarity on the 1200 Series. This was their response: 'We no longer refer to our covers thickness in MIL. We refer to our covers as "series" per our listing. We are no longer measuring covers in thickness but in longevity and warranty.'These covers aren't designed using rocket science, and thickness of the material along with properly sealed air pockets is pretty much the main determining factor. So for them to give this answer via email is doubly deceptive since unless they are using some NASA-invented materials (that to at such low prices!) they are simply providing thinner covers under different styles.Anyone who has used these covers know that they never last as long as advertised. Whether this less-than-12-mil 1200 Series cover will last as long as advertised is to be determined. If it does I will be glad to change my review and rating. However for now the deceptive advertising of their blankets as well as their weak email response is a big no-no for me. And it should be for you as well.
