Swarovski Optik BR Balance Rail for Spotting Scopes

This does not balance the ATX with the 115 mm lens. I purchased one to use on the Swarovski gimbal head. Swarovski needs to fix this issue. It balances no better than no balance rail at all on the gimbal. I see reviews arguing the other way. It may be fine for the 65-95 objective lenses, but it simply doesn't work with the 115. Waste of time!

I tried with RRS arca-swiss type plates; they are lighter, but don't provide full support. . The adjustable slider it's a must.Does not get a five because:- a bit extra too much material where the foot actually attaches is not needed, and just makes the assembly heavier- the connecting bolt requires a flat head tool of sorts...or a coin. At this price range should be a hex key slot and the hex key included - RRS does this and has the key fitted in the plate-the adjustable rear support does not lock in place,; only locks the support knobOverall well made ofcourse - it's by swarovski, and really there are not better options .Priceysturdyfits properlymatching color :)used on a BTX 85mm with extender

Great product if you own a 65mm, 85mm, or the 95mm objective module. Well made as always. However, if you have the 115mm objective module this will NOT balance with the ATX eyepiece. I have to add an arca swiss clamp and add counter weights from a third party. About 2 extra pounds of counterweight. Would have been nice for Swaro to be include some 1/4” threads at the back of the rail for this or actually say that the 115mm objective would balance on their “balance rail”. It shows that it will in their manual but not the case.

it works well, but with less adjustment than I expected to balance my spotting scope once I added the binoc head. However, it does not include the adapter to fit its own tripod.

Very well built, and functions well.

Total ripoff

The Swarovski BR balance rail is great and works with ALL of the Swarovski objectives and eyepieces! The gentleman who reviewed the BR and claimed he couldn't balance with the newest Swarovski 115 mm objective is plain wrong. I can personally attest that this combo works perfectly and mounts well on the Swarovski PTH professional tripod head. With the BTX objective the rear rest sits at the "4" position. With the ATX objective the rear rest sits at the "5" position. See photos attached.
