I hope this review is helpful. Right out of the box these digital binoculars are very good for the price! They are clear and have a decent quick start guide that you can refer to for instructions. The night vision mode is amazing!!! It use IR night vision so the view is black and white. There are 7 levels of brightness in IR mode. The level of detail increases with each level of brightness which is great. The normal view mode is very good as well. Both modes have x8 digital zoom, and the image quality isn't diminished too much. It has the option to record videos & photos with a 3rd option the instant review what you capture. It's nice that it also come with a pre installed 32gb micro sd card. Now for what could be better and maybe some may find helpful. There is a charging light next to the charging port, it is red and very easy to miss. This could've been made better, because there isn't a way to tell if it is charging other than having them turned on. When adjusting the zoom, you have to click the zoom button for each level, you can't just hold it down. The same goes for adjusting the brightness level in IR. When you activate IR, I haven't found a method to revert back to normal view by pressing a different button. It seems you have to cycle through the brightness levels and then it goes back to normal. This is kind of annoying. The SD card slot, it is very difficult to get the card out & back in. It's a snug fit and unless you have somewhat long nails, you'll need a pin or something small and flat to get the card out or put it back in. The IR does work through glass, but the brighter the level, the more glare is noticeable. The only bad thing about these so far is they feel like very cheap plastics, so I hope they hold up.

The camera display itself (not the camera, but the display you use to see the camera) ) is ridiculously bright for something that is trying to take a video of the night. They could reduce the power of the display and it would still function well. Good practice FLIR camera. No heat detection, no nothing. Just simple nighttime vision. (Illuminates you perfectly, making nighttime spotting with it absolutely pointless except from the safety of your house, where the animals won't get to you). You will need to have clear line of sight for the camera ultraviolet light to hit what it's aiming at. Aim at your window and it will only look at the window. FLIR is designed to illuminate things with ultraviolet radiation, so it's not going to see past obstacles. For a cheap $50 practice toy, this is interesting for kids to share and might be useful to people who want to see the animals that pass by them at night but don't want to turn on lights to scare them away. Pretty fun toy, no complicated accessories or functions. Has an on and off, regular camera, then FLIR and different intensities of FLIR, and that's pretty much it. Decent night vision goggles with good features for the price, but the materials feel a bit on the cheap side. The 3" screen is clear, and the 4K video and zoom options work well enough for casual use. However, the build quality doesn’t inspire long-term confidence—it feels more like a budget gadget than a durable piece of gear. Works fine for light hunting, camping, or backyard security, but I expected sturdier construction for the cost.

I got this for my son who is now obsessed with all the gadgets the police uses and has been really into “night vision” and it turned out to be a great option. The price range is reasonable enough that I’m ok giving this to a kid to play with, but at the same time it is built well enough that it can be used as real night time binoculars. At first, I thought it looked blurry and cheap, and then I realized that you can adjust that by turning the edge of the lens. Once adjusted, the image is very clear. Since you don’t need to put it up to your eyes because it has a camera, the zoom is a button that magnifies for you. The brightness can also be adjusted, which helps when you’re in the dark and the screen is too bright for your eyes. However, you have to keep in mind that if you dim it too much, you loose clarity of what you’re looking at. There’s also a cool option to take videos or pictures, which I think is cool for a kid.

HORRIBLE DESIGN. Buttons are placed so that you are contsantly activating them inadvertantly while just trying to hold the device and are also so small that you cannot find the correct button tactilly in the dark. The view screen is like a flood light in the dark- it blinds you with bright white light from the glaring menu fonts displayed and there is no way to turn it off. Requires two hands to operate unless mounted on a stand. This thing is completely worthless!

Before I even read the headline to the ad, I will be honest, I saw the photo of this monocular and it’s size, especially the picture of it in the guy’s palm, made me think it was a golf range finder. My golf buddies would tell me it may be with how long it takes me to find my drive, it just might take me into darkness. But what made me convinced to buy it was the amount of wildlife we have come through our decent size lot. We are in a suburban setting but yet we have our share of deer, groundhogs, racoon, a few foxes and recently coyotes. I thought it would be interesting in trying to spot them from the back porch. Little did I think my first use would be looking for my Miniature Pincher who chase the deer up into the hills the same night this scope arrived at my house. She comes back thankfully but that single run already has paid for this gadget knowing that I could use it if she runs a bit too far away some dark night.
