A great film

Great movie.

Good story with lots of lessons. Engrossing. Wonderful acting and impressive photography.

Brilliant film really enjoyed it

Bought this for my wife. It was a success! She loved it and cried a lot! Made our saturday movie night! The plot is bearable and acting is superb. Scenery is great. And beacause of this we can watch few action movies together for next few saturday nights, then I have to find something like this again :-) And this is one of the best as they come in this historic, romantic, great nature shots and etc. genre. Highly recommended

A wonderful film this, spreading itself across probably every 'genre' - Romance, Selfishness, Jealousy, War, Loyalty, Disloyalty, Crime,the list is endless. The casting is PERFECT in all parts, the acting excellent, beautifully photographed by John Toll and with music by James 'Titanic' Horner. Anthony Hopkins is Col.Ludlow .Retrd and his 3 sons, Brad Pitt - Tristan, the middle son, selfish, spoilt and Ludlows favourite.Henry Thomas - Samuel, sensitive and very correct and understanding and Aidan Quinn - Alfred is quieter, respectful and has a sense of dependability about him but is easily upset. The three are bound to each other and it appears nothing will break it until Samuel arrives one day with his faince Susannah played by very pretty Julia Ormond. In order NOT to give away any of the story I will not give details of the plot suffice to say this is a helter - skelter ride of moods. highs and lows throughout. Directed by Edward Zwick - Blood Diamond, Defiance, Shakespeare in Love and what is in my view one of the best American Civil War Films ever made 'Glory'. Highly recommended.

This movie holds a special place with me. The story, the cinematography (it won an Oscar for this) and the actors are perfection. It's so majestic and full of spirit. It is my favorite movie of Brad Pitt's career. I was in awe of him & couldn't imagine anyone looking & acting so beautifully . . .I swear, he'll take your breath away! All the other actors are superb and in their best roles. The story takes you through the history of that time and you never know what surprise is coming (sad & loving). Director, Edward Zwick created a masterpiece. The DVD took a little time getting here BUT it was so worth it. It is in perfect shape (new)!

Légendes d'automne nous plonge dans des décors sauvages du Montana. Un patriarche vit avec ses 3 enfants tous différents des un des autres. Quand ils apprennent en 1914, la guerre en Europe, le cadet veut participer à cette guerre suivi par ses deux frères, le plus jeune n'en reviendra pas. Une légende comme celle-ci restera dans la mémoire de cette famille. Tourné avec de bons acteurs, un petit chef-oeuvre du cinéma.

Sigue la vida de una familia viviendo en la ultima frontera en EEUU, como evoluciona la vida de 3 hermanos y su padre cuando llega la esposa de uno de ellos. Me encanta, merece la pena verla, otra película muy bien ambientada, y en blu ray, una pasada!

Il film 'Vento di passioni', realizzato nel 1994 con la regia di Edward Zwick, è basato su un romanzo di Jim Harrison, 'Legends of the Fall'. Racconta dei profondi cambiamenti avvenuti nella famiglia del colonnello Ludlow (Anthony Hopckins), diventato un allevatore di bestiame dopo avere contestato il trattamento che il governo statunitense ha usato nei confronti degli indiani Dakota, con l'arrivo di Susannah, promessa sposa di Samuel, il più giovane dei suoi figli. Anche Alfred e Tristan (Aidan Quinn e Brad Pitt) subiranno il fascino dell'inquieta fanciulla e affronteranno anche i problemi del primo conflitto mondiale, che li vedrà tutti arruolati. Girato negli scenari suggestivi del Montana, il film ha giustamente raccolto numerosi consensi e un meritato Oscar per la migliore fotografia di John Toll. Ottima l'interpretazione degli attori, tra i quali un giovane Brad Pitt e le musiche di James Homer. Insomma, un film da vedere.
