Light levels and type really matter. Don't give up!
Update 4/9/19: The resin is working great for me now. I live in Michigan and the last couple of weeks have begun to get sunny. Now that I am putting my model out on the back porch, this resin is drying super fast. I am able to do several layers a day (less than a quarter inch each time). If I pour out in the sunlight, it begins to harden as soon as the resin touches the model! It's a slight negative because I'm now used to being able to make adjustments, but it's super cool! I'll just go back to pouring inside. The type and level of the light really seems to matter, so if you aren't getting the results you want, try changing the light source you are using. Michigan winter sun and my UV flashlight were not working for me, but I've seen others get good results with a UV light. Mine just not be good with this resin.Update 3/28/19: Shortly after I wrote this review, I retested my project and it was significantly less tacky. It had been over a week, but I had placed it in a different window the day before. I added another layer, and it mostly hardened within a few hours. We will see how it continues. I'll bump my review up to 3 stars for now, and if I have no more issues, I'll assume the problem is on my end and push back up to 5 stars.I was so excited to get this resin. I put it under my UV flashlight and tested every few minutes, but it won't harden. I left it under the light for days, and its better but still quite tacky. I put it in the window under the blacklight flashlight. Same result. I only have a layer about 1/8 of an inch thick, maybe a little less. I need to put in several more layers in order to finish the little fountain I made, but I'm afraid to do so because I'm not sure it will ever get hard. After researching the issue, I guess it can happen if the resin is too old. But I started using it the day after I received it from Amazon...

Fills a needed type of home repair gap.
This stuff is really great for certain repairs that were difficult to impossible before. When first dispensed, the product looks like a clear liquid with the consistency of water. Hit it with some UV light, (I got a small UV flashlight intended for finding pet stains), and it starts to harden rapidly. When cured it is fairly stiff, with a bit of flex, sort of like carpenters, or white glue.I had great success in repairing some eyeglasses. My wife broke the little plastic nose piece of her glasses. I was able to place a bead of this material on the back of the plastic nosepiece, and the metal bracket that it was supposed to attach to. A few seconds of UV light and the repair was just about good as new.My daughter broke the bow off of a pair of sunglasses. I was able to bet a bead of this material between and around the two sides and make the repair. Two caveats - 1.) you may need some extra hands to hold parts together while applying and curing this product. A soldering rig works well for small repairs.2.) If the UV light can't hit it, the product won't cure. Trying to join parts with a thin layer of product sandwiched between them probably won't work. My repairs all involved creating/curing a bead of the product around the area where two parts needed to join together. Since the product dries mostly clear, these repairs are not obvious without closer inspection.Overall, an excellent addition to your home repair kit. It is not an end all solution, but it does repair things that may well have been unrepairable before.

Put the Resin on Inside before Curing in the Sun
This stuff is amazing! HOWEVER!!! It says you can use this stuff in the sun to cure the resin and it will take 5-20minutes. I live in Flordia and put the resin on while I was outside, thinking I could use a brush to smooth it over... however, within literal seconds it curdled up on my art (which was plastic shrink paper art). I let it just finish drying in the sun completely, curdled, splotchy and all, then I brought it inside and sanded the living heck out of it with a nail filer (WHICH WORKED, THANK YOU MOM!).After I sanded the ever living heck out of it, I reput resin on the art INSIDE my house this time and just pushed it around with the nose of the bottle, which worked 10x better. Then I cured it inside my mom's GEL nail lamp instead of retrying outside. It worked perfect this way.My advice so someone doesn't make the same mistake as me, put the resin on BEFORE you put it in the sun/outside and I am sure it will work just fine.Once I learned how to use it properly, I love this stuff. It adds such a nice shine to the shrink art I made, as Im sure it would on any product you want to protect. I would recommend it!Just be careful how you use it, LOL.

Amount not enough for money spent

Tends to be a bit brittle feeling
The UV resin works great in transparent molds. Not so great in thicker pink molds even with curing it in thin layers. I have tried several different molds and several different lights. Every time I use a pink mold it won't cure at the bottom. But for transparent molds it works great. Items after curing do have a brittle feel as opposed to most epoxy resins. I have not tried breaking any.. but they do feel like they might shatter it struck against a hard surface. The clarity is nice though and I do some projects where super fast curing is needed, so it does have it's place. So far this is the only UV resin I have tried, so I can't compare to other UV resins yet.

Didn't work for me
This resin does not cure ,even if you put it under the light for a long time . It also has a very bad toxic smell when under the light . Waist of money ,I wish I had tried it as soon as I got it I would have returned so now I'm out of my money
