The perfect "grab-and-go" bag – Comfortable and built to last
I picked up the Osprey Daylite Sling recently, and it has quickly become my go-to bag for daily errands and short trips. Here is my breakdown: Comfort: This is where the bag really shines. The strap is anatomically shaped and breathable, so it sits securely on my back without sliding around. I love that the strap is ambidextrous- you can clip it to the left or right side, which is a lifesaver for switching shoulders during long days. Quality: As expected from Osprey, the build quality is top-notch. The fabric feels durable and abrasion-resistant, and the zippers are smooth and sturdy. It feels like a product that will last for years, not just a few months. Utility: Don't let the small size fool you. It holds way more than it looks like it would. The main compartment easily fits a water bottle, a Kindle/book, and a light layer. The front pocket has a nice mesh organizer and key clip, which keeps my phone, wallet, and keys from getting lost at the bottom. Pros: Super lightweight and barely noticeable when wearing it. Ambidextrous strap is a great feature. Organization is simple but effective. Cons: None so far, though keep in mind it's for essentials only (don't expect to fit a laptop). Verdict: If you need to empty your pockets but don't want to lug around a full-sized backpack, this is the perfect solution. Highly recommended!

Perfect size and sturdy construction
I have been a fan of Osprey gear for several years. My wife and I each have Osprey daypacks, and I use an Osprey lumbar pack on shorter jaunts. The build quality is fantastic, the design is thoughtful, and they offer items that fit the size and application I am looking for. This Daylite Sling fits the bill almost perfectly. I wanted a lightweight and comfortable sling bag which offers ample room for the stuff I like to carry with me through the day. (I wanted to move much of my EDC gear from my pockets to a sling, particularly for summer weather and travel.) This bag has two main compartments, along with a smaller mesh compartment and divider inside the main section. There is a small zippered storage compartment on the strap which, honestly, doesn't do much for me...but I am sure others might find it useful. My one wish is that the internal divider in the main compartment included some small pockets for pens, pencils, etc. The sling I was replacing had that feature, and it was really nice for organization. I fixed the situation by ordering a Maxpedition 4x6 Platy to stow small items. Drop the Platy inside the main sling bag compartment and I'm good to go! I bought the sling on a Prime Day special, so that definitely sweetened the value for the money. I definitely recommend the Daylite Sling.

A Well-Made, Right-Sized, Comfortable, Functional Sling Pack
The Osprey sling pack is a well made, right-sized Sling Pack that is comfortable to wear (rear padding durable yet adequate, and strap wide and thick enough to be strong yet comfortable) and that looks good. Adequate volume for most typical travel items in main pocket, and an adequately sized front pocket for quick access to documents (like passport, tickets, and so on) and wallet. There's even a pocket on the strap useful for a snack bar or electrolyte tablets. Zippers work smoothly, although they aren't waterproof, but likely neither is the pack. Don't overlook the loops around the periphery. One can attach shock-cord loops with cord locks to tether items like rain gear, or use the plastic fastener clips on water bottle pockets to attach the pocket and carry a suitable water bottle on the outside of the sling pack. All-in-all, the Osprey sling pack is attractive and functional.

Good But Not Perfect-Water Bottle Pocket!!!
I bought this bag to use after I injured my shoulder and couldn't use my backpack. The bag is nicely made as are all Osprey bags. Here is what I can get in it comfortably: cell phone IPhone 5 sunglasses wallet 4" x 5" bandana medical kit 5" x 5" woman's kit 4" x 6" keys lib balm tin granola bar and bag of peanuts I realized that the best way to use this bag is to use the two pockets internally to secure my stuff. Otherwise, it's just a jumble of nonsense that isn't organized. My glasses case is the only thing that is loose. My wallet and cell phone are in the exterior pocket. I gave the bag 4 stars because honestly, who doesn't carry their water and need to put it somewhere? There is no water bottle pocket. You could maybe rig up some straps to the outside with the little loops provided but then getting in that exterior pocket would be tough. It's just likely a design flaw of these sling bags. Once it is on your back the bottle may fall out of the pocket anyway. I can't see taking this on a day hike either as some reviewers noted. You would starve and die of thirst! It's fine for going to the store, running errands etc. and I am not sorry that I bought it but still. The water bottle pocket!

It's a nice one-shoulder backpack, comfortable to wear and can hold quite a lot of stuff (for me a Nikon P-900 fits in with 1L water flask and several small pieces of equipment: key, wallet, sunglasses in case etc.). So for my use case it's more than enough for summer day trips, or nice strolls in cities' historical downtown during a summer holiday. It likely would not be large enough in cooler weather, if I wanted to pack a pullover or similar warmer clothes. The quality is great, but that's why I bought an Osprey (again).
