John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano 2.: Second Grade Piano

I bought this book on the recommendation of my son's piano teacher for my son and he is playing very nice pieces that I enjoy listening to. His skills have improved thanks to this book and his piano tutor together with a lot of practising. I think this is an excellent book for any piano student, definitely worth the money spent!

I bought this book just because I wanted to learn a tune that I saw on you tube, Barcarolle. I have done that and have found that the book has lots of good tunes to learn from easy to difficult. I like that it shows when to use the pedal in the pieces and all fingering is shown. It's an excellent book for someone who knows a little bit about reading music but the Grade One book might be better for absolute beginners.
