best gaming monitor upgrade ever
This monitor is the best upgrade ever if you’re looking for a true gaming monitor. The display quality is absolutely amazing, with vivid colors, deep blacks, and stunning contrast. Whether gaming, watching movies, or working, the experience is a significant step up from what I had before. I couldn’t be happier—MSI has created a masterpiece that exactly delivers what a top-tier monitor should be. Setting up the monitor is effortless, even without instructions. The adjustable height makes it easy to switch between seated and standing positions. The build quality feels premium, giving a sense of luxury when using it. The 0.03ms super-low response time is very noticeable, especially in FPS and MOBA games. Everything looks sharper, colors are more vibrant, and the 4K resolution paired with 165Hz refresh rate elevates single-player gaming to another level. The glossy anti-reflective coating not only looks beautiful but also reduces glare from direct and ambient light. Overall, if you’re on the fence about this monitor—whether for PC or console gaming—just go for it. It’s an incredible display that delivers an unreal experience you’ve likely never had before.

Just wow! Review for those not so nerdy.
I upgraded from a much older 27inch samsung monitor. I did a huge amount of research, and was sat on this decision for months! Contemplating different sizes, models and specs.l but ultimately went for this one (on sale) and absolutely made the right choice! I built a top end PC (I won't go into the full build specs and know this will annoy some) and knew without a good monitor, it was like having a super car engine in a first buyers hatchback. Pros: - The build quality is amazing, really sturdy and looks great. - The actual screen is breathtaking, nice and bright but so crisp! I wouldn't ever go back to anhthing but OLED now. True blacks and gorgeous clarity. - For gaming, I really cannot recommend this enough, no lag, no delay, gorgoeus definition and a great size! The stability is great and movement is smooth as melted butter. - I know they put the measurements on here, but honestly its bigger than I thought it would be! Great size but not ridiculous. I toyed with the idea of an ultrawide, but due to some games not being up to speed with these resulting in a bad aspect ratio and black borders around the edges, decided to go with a larger screen but in a standard design. Cons: - now this is a bit of an unfair con as its purely functional and whats best for the monitor, but after gaming for a while or using it for a while (around 2 to 3 hours) it needs to run a refresh in essence to keep the monitor working and looking perfect, I have to stress this is funtional and what you should be doing, and ultimately I imagine what all oleds have to do, but it is a tad annoying - it does only take about 5 minutes at most so a good time to grab a drink and use the loo. This is the only negative I have with thos monitor albeit a very small and pretty unfair one at that! Overall I seriously recommend this monitor. If like me you are struggling with your upgrade choices and arn't a super nerd when it comes to this stuff, take my advice you'll never look back with this one (especially on sale). Without spending a sheer fortune, you'll be getting what is in my opinion one of the very best monitors and upgrade your experince to no end! Make sure you do take a bit of tike first though to check that your hardware is compatible!

Great choice for an ultrawide curved monitor.
I was really keen to try an ultrawide curved monitor and the MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED has been amazing. I didn’t know if I would like a curved monitor, however the curve isn’t too aggressive and with the ultrawide aspect ratio, the curve is great and the screen fills your entire vision. The picture quality itself is brilliant. Having recently got an OLED TV for the living room I knew a bit of what to expect, however it was even better than I expected and playing games with the ultrawide perspective make them even more immersive. I was looking between this and other monitors that use the same panel, the Alienware AW3423DWF and Samsung G8 OLED series, but decided to go with MSI as it has better connectivity with HDMI 2.1 ports that can fully support PS5/XBOX at 4k 120Hz. The monitor also supports g-sync and I've had no issues running it so far. The build quality is really nice and the stand is adjustable which is helpful, but it's a big monitor so takes up a lot of desk space and could be slimmed down a bit to feel less bulky, however it does look great.

Amazing monitor
MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED 34 Inch UWQHD Curved Gaming Monitor initial impressions of it are great, massive upgrade from my old 27' TN panel monitor. ive heard some complaints with ultrawide in general but in my experience its great and i cant see myself going back to a regular 16:9 monitor, games are just so much more immersive and the colours on the monitor are unbelievable compared to what ive been used to and if you find a game that doesn't support ultrawide its a lot less noticeable to go down to 16:9 and have the black bars on the side since the blacks are so dark it basically blends in with the monitor frame. Having an oled screen is simply amazing and cant compare to the other panel types, no ghosting and true sub 1ms response times which can only be achieved on an oled it is a glossy screen so it does reflect light a lot more than a matte would but isn't an issue if you use it in a dimly lit room or at night although i think matte affects the quality and colours of the screen. the 3 year warranty that includes burn in is nice aswell but you would have to be looking at static images for like 10 hours a day everday for that to actually happen (would still recommend changing to dark mode on most things and hiding your task bar just in case) also be careful touching the screen or getting anything on it, not the easiest to clean, i hear your supposed to use a microfiber cloth and distilled water for oled screen. overall fantastic monitor and at this price its very good for what you get

Great 1st time oled monitor at a Great price
This was my first ever OLED monitor that I purchased. The blacks on the screen are obviously alot better then on my laptop's IPS panel because of its true black oled pixels making story games actually look fantastic. Additionally the monitors software settings are actually pretty neat, the night vision feature actually is useful in some FPS games where the game itself just has everything set too dark at night so I used it a few times. It came with a HDMI cable and connecting it was simple and I'm able to run it in a dual monitor set up with my laptop without any issues at all, and basically 0 technical effort needed to do that. The colours are also alot more vibrant and when HDR works it works well. My only issues are that, trying to use HDR on games often ends up being more of a hassle then its worth because of how windows and the games interact with each other often causing it to glitch out. The monitor itself is fine and its easy to activate HDR with it but microsoft and game devs really need to make it alot less painful to try and do HDR while gaming. The only other issue I have is that the monitor doesn't have speakers which is a shame if you want to take your headphones off while watching a video since wearing them all the time can be fatiguing. I am also worried about burn in but we'll have to see in 2-3 years I suppose. Overall, If you have the money I'd say go for it since an OLED monitor nothing really comes close in picture quality and colours but just be prepared to either deal with headaches with setting HDR up or just use it in SDR since it looks really good without all the hassle.

way too dim to be useful for 99% of the population
This is a great monitor, if you're a mole person. That is, you'll have no issues at all if you live underground with absolutely no lights apart from the embers of a fire, or perhaps some candles out in the stone tunnels. For some people, this is absolutely a fine monitor. The text clarity is almost as good as any IPS, remarkable really for an OLED. Perhaps it's because of the PPI being so high due to the 4k screen in a 32 inch display. The build quality is great as well, for the price. The stand is rather ergonomic, offering all the usual features you'd expect. Although the provided cables are really small, and you'd have to be directly next to a power outlet, and your PC, console. (They are around 1m each!) But if you're not a mole person, and happen to have windows like 99% of the rest of the population I would steer way clear of this monitor. And no, it's not because it's a QD-OLED. I have an Alienware monitor that uses LAST generation of the same panel. And it's FAR more usable. The main reason, cutting to the chase. It's just simply not bright enough. And no matter how much you faff around with the menu button, there is nothing you can do about it. And if you use ANY kind of HDR, then it's even worse as you can't set the brightness AT ALL. It's locked at around 150 nits. There is also a heap of black crush going on as well. How do I know, because I became a mole person. I drew the blackout blinds, and used it in an absolutely pitch black room. I fired up Cyberpunk, and it was just unusable. You get to about 10% grey, and then that's it. It's just off. 20% grey is around 15%, and then it normalises. It was at that point, I just boxed it back up. And asked for a refund. You're better off going with an LG C5 42" or waiting until 2026 until they start offering dual OLED like Apple does. In fact, that's what I'm going to do. The LG C5 is on offer at the moment. Our main TV is an LG C2, and that totally destroys this monitor. And I believe the LG C5 is brighter still! If you're one of those that games in a dungeon with only candles for ambient light, then go right ahead. It's a great price when I got it. 550 quid. But even at that price, it's not worth if it, if all it takes is a moth to breeze past the blackout curtains and let in a few additional photons of light and renders the whole thing pointless

Get a monitor cover for it asap.
Been using it for a year, kind of disappointed with how easy the glossy surface gets scratched. Almost by anything, i once touched it with a medication box and it got instantly scratched i was baffled. I had to buy a monitor cover... Anyway its been really good, the instant pixel response time is a game changer, the colours pop, the contrast is good (as long as there is no direct light), the hz are nice to feel. I think its a game changer if you can get it for £400 or less. 27 inch 1440p is the sweet spot nowadays. I do the pixel refresh thing every 4 hours the annoying popup doesn't pop anymore but i make sure to turn off my monitor every time i don't use it. Usually i don't use it more than 2 hours straight. The pixel cleaning is triggered when you turn off the monitor any time after the 4 hour mark. I usually only turn it on when watching something or gaming, otherwise for desktop use/browsing i use an IPS monitor. I try to limit static images by hiding the taskbar and using wallpaper engine for dynamic wallpapers.
