HidomHD-550 Aquarium Air Pump

Bargin item
I got this to run in my conservatory in a quarantine tank and its well worth the money! It works very well and has been running non stop for around a month if not just over that. Wasnt expecting much for the price but glad i got it!Now, onto the bit everyone wants to know about! The noise of this thing. For me, it depends. When i first set it up i had it on a piece of fabric like i do with my Tetra whisper as it just really helps with vibrational noise, even with rubber feet (which this pump has). However i notice it wont stay put due to the extremely short cable so it keeps coming out of place and therefore being very loud. But when i adjust it, its almost silent again. So, overall:Pros: cheap, effective, quiet if you can help it along the way, does its job well, can run a few items using a tap (sold separately)Cons: very short cable, loud when not sat correctlyHope this was helpful to someone!

Great product
The media could not be loaded. Great value for money. Isn't exactly silent.,but it is an air pump so noise is expected.,but works great and the fish are delighted. Thanks folks

Incompatible with the UK
The page clearly states that the device comes with a British socket, so i assumed it would work fine with the British electrical supply. I was wrong, after 12 hours the pump died as the fuse blew, whilst looking at the spec's on the sticker on its underside i noticed it's only meant to be used on 110-120v supplies! No wonder the fuse blew! Thankfully i have a 110-230v transformer going spare. It features a BS plug, with a sticker showing compliance with the British standard 1362 fuse and is sold on the British amazon.co.uk site. Why is the device rated for 110v?
