Amazing! We bought another brand a few weeks that was dreadful! This one was the best. Easy to light (didn’t take 4 minutes lolol) and flames don’t get too big! It didn’t spill either! Overall, a great product.

I really enjoy burning this while sitting out on the patio - very comforting.

For what the product is designed to do, it works pretty well. Essentially, this product is just a mixture of recycled wood product (looks like the same type of stranded wood product used in BBQ Dragon Ball fire starters), wax, what smells like a few fatwood shavings on the top, and a cotton ball. It's a candle taken to the next level by introducing wood shavings as an additional fuel supply. Lighting the canister worked flawlessly. Once the wax melts, it essentially just burns like a candle. The wood really doesn't burn well unless you give it a slight stir and bring the shavings above the surface. The cannister is nice and replacing the lid to cut off the oxygen supply works well to extinguish the fire. Take caution, however, that if you've allowed the canister to burn for a while, let the canister adequately cool down and the wax to solidify; otherwise, you'll risk getting burned and making a mess with hot wax. Pretty decent product for those looking for a small kit to stow in their pack to have everything needed to light a nice, contained fire producing a flame a bit more substantial than a standard candle. This pocket campfire is the perfect size, as I wouldn't want to tote around anything larger. This would also be a great product to include in an emergency pack. In its solidified form, you essentially could also carve out a chuck of the canister contents to use as a flame extender for starting a larger fire. Carrying around a can of this "fire starter" product, however, wouldn't be as efficient as other options. I burned my pocket campfire canister and then created a decent pile of fatwood scrapings to mix into the melted wax. Upon reigniting, I gained a much more adequate fire. If you have soy wax or beeswax, some fatwood shavings, and a cotton ball, you essentially could replenish the contents and reuse the canister multiple times.

I don't think one can have too many fire starting items. Some are better than others in that they are safer to cook with (very important), and cleaner to burn. What I really appreciate most about this cute litte USA made small campire, is the portability. I really wish this had come with a trivet, but I can make do. I wouldn't mind having a few of these to toss in random bags. They are so lightweight, you wouldn't even know they are there. Honestly, there is no reason to not have at least one of these in your posession.

There are so many amazing things about this fire tin. I live in California where fire restrictions for camping literally change daily. I love having this for the ability to have the option of a small fire. Since it is easily extinguished by putting the tin lid back on, I feel safe leaving it at camp when going out for some fun. It’s a great prepping tool as well. The smell of the fire is not off putting and I was most worried about that. I absolutely recommend!
