Idk why all of the sudden after 46 years I'm getting Kanker soars? Extremely painful because it's always at the base of my fn gum/cheek. Anything , esp citrus,Spice cold hot is just devestating.I've tried a few different things, anbesol or whatever it's called had worked the best but just wears off very quickly. I moved fast to hopefully eat something before it wore off.So I wanted to try to find something better. I've definitely found it.This stuff is awesome.So yes, as you may have read when u apply it it burns. A GOOD burn, but I imagine it may be intense for some. I was happy because I knew something was happening. It's not all the others where you hopefully get a lil glob to stay in place long enough to soak in and numb it some.This stuff is thick and adheres to your sore immediately when applied. After it's done you feel what I can only describe as a cotton like cover a 'zapped' sore that has been completely muted.It's there. U can feel that 'it wants to be painful' but it's not.Then came the test.I hadn't ate breakfast today and I wasnt able to take part in tacos last night so I wanted to make some burritos with the left over mix.I had it all in there. Taco seasoned beef, guacamole, cilantro, habenero salsa.As I brought the burrito up my hand was shaKing a lil. I could feel that the sore was super numbed but you never know if some hebenero citrus can creep in. This could be really bad.To my DELIGHT there was ZERO pain. Like I said ,the sore is there, there is always a very mild discomfort because after all there is a sore in your mouth.I've got breakfast down and an hour has passed. It says 6hr but honestly if I had to reapply now..I'd still give it 5 stars. Very happy. Very relieved. I really recommend.

As someone who loves salty foods, I have cankers from time to time. Most have little to impact to my quality of life but every once in a while I have one that hurts or bothers me to the point where I feel like I need something. I was looking on here for something to help me and really wanted to go with some type of patch/bandage but after reading the bad reviews on a few of those products, I decided to go with this product. And I'm so glad that I did.I put a little of the product on a cotton swab and dry the affected area with a paper towel as best I can and try to keep it dry by pulling my lip away from the area. While the area is still dry, I apply the product on the swab and wait about a minute before releasing my lip. I then go about my life as usual. I have had this product last over 16 hours with one application (admittedly in an area that is easy to protect). It does sting a little when first applying but my sore also hurts even when just drying it before the product - hence why I felt the need to buy something to treat and alleviate the pain and why they are called "sores."After cutting the tip off of the tube, it's very easy to apply. You only need a very small amount of product to effectively treat/protect the sore. It does form a protective barrier where applied which lessens the pain and sensitivity immensely. When I eventually run out of this product or it expires, I will be buying more. I've tried several other products over the years and nothing has worked like this, nearly as well as it does and for as long as it does. I will say that if your sore is in an area that is more exposed than my current one, you may need to reapply more often but it does work. Just make sure the area is dry prior to application and kept dry for about a minute after application.

This works GREAT for sore spots in your mouth. There's an invisible seal that keeps the ointment on where u put it to protect and heal. I always keep an extra tube on hand for sore gums, jaw bites, friends, etc. I don't know why they stopped selling it in the stores but I was so relieved to find it on Amazon.

The taste is terrible. It does work to numb canker sores. There was a small learning curve to it. I used q-tips to dry the sore, then waited to make sure it was dry, then used another q-tip to apply the ointment then held my cheek open to allow the ointment to dry for 1+ min. It helped me eat and drink without pain.

I haven't had a canker sore in over 10 years. I suffered for a couple days and finally bought this! Let me tell it will sting when you first put it on... I had a tear in my eye. It dried quickly and numbed the area. After 2 days it's gone!

I had a really bad canker sore & this saved my life no lie lol. It stings quite bad when you first apply it to the area but eventually it fades. It created some kind of white film over the area. I bought something similar from Target but this helped way more. I highly recommend this product.

Best stuff ever! I made the mistake of buying Orajel first and while it's a good product, it doesn't offer much protection to cut gums so I went back to my old standby: Zilactin. Fantastic stuff! Creates a protective layer over the problem and lasts for a good while, helping the injury to heal. It tastes horrible at first; imagine using white rum to kill pain and then it tastes even worse after the initial application but that doesn't last long and it's just relief afterwards. Totally worth it.Try not to put it on top of your teeth though because it comes right off - got some on there by accident - and then it's like chewing rubber until it either wears off or you figure out how to get that small amount back off. Not worth worrying about though Not a deal breaker. :DGreat product! Never fails.
