Where is this powder made, China?

Hello,L- Carnosine originates in China.  No US manufacturer exists for this raw ingredient.  It is FDA inspected and passed a safety analysis.Around 95% of the world's raw nutritional raw materials are manufactured in Japan, China and Korea.  Only one manufacturer of amino acids (our most common type of nutritional product) is located in the USA and they currently only manufacture 3 amino acids.All of the foreign manufacturers that we purchase our raw ingredients from have FDA Certification and receive periodic on-site inspections to assure the safety of their products and process controls.Many nutritional manufacturers located in the USA will print "Made in the USA" right on their labels, but what they don't tell you is that everything EXCEPT the actual nutritional raw materials are made in the USA.  The principal ingredient you are taking as a nutritional supplement is manufactured in China, Japan, or Korea. Generally, the only thing made in the USA is the packaging, label and the empty capsule.  Nutritional manufacturers are not required to disclose on their product labels where their nutritional raw materials are manufactured.So, what do you do? You have two choices. The easiest thing to do would be to tell yourself that you will never consume any nutritional product ever again. That's a pretty simple solution that would definitely work.But if you were really committed to your conviction never to consume any China manufactured product you would also have to vow never to take a prescription drug and never consume any processed foods for the rest of your life since virtually all pharmaceutical raw materials and food additives are manufactured in China as well.The facts are that there are many multibillion dollar pharmaceutical corporations here in the USA that almost exclusively use China manufactured raw materials in the production of their drugs.These multibillion dollar pharmaceutical corporations have a vested interest in assuring the purity and safety of their products and because the raw materials used to make those products come from China, they absolutely take every possible step necessary to assure the safety of their products and limit their liabilities. That is why many of the products that we carry are manufactured according to USP (United States Pharmacopoeia) standards as well as Japan and European manufacturing standards. Can I mix this with Soy Milk?

Pure L Carnosine dissolves very well, so you can mix it with anything. There really isn't much of a taste either. Great stuff.

Does this l carnosine dissolve completely without residue at the bottom of the glass? how is the taste? strong or mild?

I blend the l carnosine and my other supplements along with frozen fruit, juices, etc. in my morning smoothie. The smoothie has a very pleasant taste and there is no residue from the l carnosine (or any of the other supplements).  I love my morning smoothie!

Question 4

I am very confused by the labeling: the smaller size says there's 500 milligrams in 1/8 teaspoon. this size says there's just over 1200 in ½ tsp?!

The package that I have lists the amounts as follows:  1/4 tsp=526mg;  1/2 tsp = 1052 mg;  1 tsp = 2105 mg.  I have a digital scale that I use to measure my supplements and those measurements are fairly accurate to what my scale gives me.  I looked at several of the Bulk Supplements pictures on Amazon of their Carnosine and noticed that although it says L-Carnosine  below their logo, when you look in the supplement facts another supplement name and measurement is there.  This, I'm sure, is for convenience sake so they don't have to take pictures of everything they sell.  They can just paste the name of whichever one the item is.  The doses per tsp I listed above are what you should expect from any carnosine supplement you buy.  I suggest you buy a digital scale , they are fairly inexpensive-get one with a platform that measures down to .001gm.  I you have any questions you can email me at carole.byrd@comcast.net
