Delivery was slower than expected, not because of the seller, but because of Royal Mail being slow. Received 2 days later.Bag is made of olive green canvas, oiled down for weather resistance, making it sturdy and a bit stiff, which will get softer as you use it. It is highly water resistant, and heavy duty. Measures around 14 inches diagonally, based on my notebook size. iPad/tablet and an A4 notepad would fit fine.Interior has one big storage space and 2 small one,s half sized, including two side-wings, so nothing pours out from the sides. Shoulder strap is a resistant clip-on, removable via metal clasps.The bag came with a slight mildew smell and a little dirt, as per other reviews. I contacted the seller, which was polite and helpful and they explained that these are new, GENUINE articles, and as such, can sometimes have been stockpiled somewhere and not used for an extended period, before the sellers bought theme from the Swedish military.Red Cross patch is thick plastic fabric, pasted on. Below, a velcro square to add your ID/country/blood type patch, should you have one.I asked for washing instructions. It is machine washable, and I did so in the shortest, coldest cycle possible, and it turned out fine.Happy I purchased it, despite having to wash it first. But still, this is the most resistant shoulder-bag I have ever come across.

The bag is tiny and not suitable for A4 files. There are two tiny compartments and a third full length one but it is still very small. If these are used by medics, they must only carry the barest of essentials.The bag smelt really awful, and I mean awful and HAD to be washed. It made our entire utility room smell musty!Unfortunately, despite putting it into a protective washing machine cover and washing it on the coldest setting, the colour faded wherever the bag was creased and now looks dreadful. My son wouldn't use it as it looks so bad, so a complete waste of money.I bought an amazing Czech army field map bag from the same Amazon storefront, so just this item to avoid rather than the supplier.Caveat emptor.

The bag was stained and moist when I received it. It is not as clean as it is in the photo. However, you can wash it to remove the stains. The bag is okay.

When it arrived it smelled of damp and had mold growing on it

Dispatch and delivery very fast.Bag is sturdy, not particularly big but that doesn't bother me personally - I'm after a vintage look bag with this insignia for a specific purpose and this fits the bill and looks to be very hard wearing. Would be adequate for say a netbook in the main pocket and space for other bits in the smaller pockets.Bag was clean, straps inside sealed packet inside. Strong fabric webbing and metal clips as pictured, waxed canvas gussets either side to stop rain getting in. Smelled musty, much like a waxed jacket but if it's been in a surplus store this is to be expected. Would be reluctant to wash as this would destroy the oiled protection. Hung it out in fresh air for couple of hours and it was fine.

Well I have nothing against the bag itself. But when I ordered this, I expected the bag to be clean when I receive it. There was mud and grass on it. I had to wash it, not to mention it was moist already when I opened it. But then again, the bag looks awesome, even better than in picture.
