Over the years I have purchased many different refills for my Cross ballpoint pen and most times it is from the manufacturer (Cross) and from time to time these inks don't work or they stop working shortly after changing refills. Many times the store doesn't have the color I want or the point (medium, fine) I am looking for. However- I have found these refills from MONTEVERDE work great, have a great ink viscosity with little to no ink blotching like you get with any ballpoint pen. Here on Amazon you can even select from a very wide range of colors since I personally like to use the purple and brown colors for various forms I fill out. I should also stress that the price here for these refills can't be beat by any other stores and most times you can get 2 inks cheaper then the price of one Cross refill - try it for yourself and see.

I use different coloured ball point pens for record keeping. The refills must be the old non-smearing ink, not the gel ink which is currently popular but runs when wet. These are real ball point pen refills snd work very well.

This Monteverde refill for Cross pens does NOT compare with the AUTHENTIC Cross ballpoint pen refill! This Monteverde refill is SCRATCHY, the ink has POOR color, and the ink is thin. Luckily for me, I only purchased six refills -- what a waste of money! I would never buy these refills again! They do NOT compare with authentic Cross refills! If you want a fantastic ballpoint refill for your Cross pen then you should purchase the authentic BROAD Cross blue ballpoint refill: the authentic BROAD blue Cross ballpoint pen refill is smooth, has great ink color, and wonderful ink coverage! Buy the real thing -- don't waste your money on this AWFUL substitute!

I was searching for replacement ink for a pen I bought at Disney World. I like the pen but it ran out of ink. There was no indicator on the cartridge what to replace it with, so I had to go by the photos on Amazon. Once again, Amazon had exactly what I was looking for. This refill is made for Cross ballpoint pens, but can be used with other brands that have the same "drop-in, twist-on" fittings. The ink itself is smooth and writes evenly. I will definitely purchase this again.

I purchased the red replacement refill - the ink is a little more solid than the Cross brand and writes smooth without extra white space in your letters (you'll know what I mean if you've used the Cross branded replacements). Watch out for the tip of the refill: they put a hard plastic cover over it I guess to prevent dryout or leaking while stored in the package. It took a little bit of extra effort to get it all off, and you don't want a little bit of the hard stuff inside your pen and foul up the pen's twist mechanism.

These are OK, but not as nice as a roller ball

Purchased to use as refills for my Cross pens because I wanted to bright purple ink. Not only are these refills compatible, I prefer them to Cross refills as their ink is on the dry side and doesn't deposit well even on high quality paper (in my experience.) I'll be sticking with these going forward.

Ho voluto provare il colore verde ma è molto chiaro, direi slavato... peraltro la punta non è abbastanza scorrevole e l'esperienza di scrittura talmente spiacevole che le ho buttate senza ulteriore esitazione. Pessima esperienza, almeno per me.
