Quiet Sump Pump Check Valve, 2 Inch PVC Check Valve Fits 2" Schedule 40 Pipe, Clear, Silent Backflow Valve With Spring Loaded Flapper, Reduces Water Hammer Noise

I had an expensive Zoeller check valve on my basement sewage lift station sump. At the time this was the best check valve on the market and came highly rated by plumbers. To my dismay, it has always been annoyingly loud and could be heard ( and even felt) throughout the house every time the downstairs toilet was flushed or someone took a shower. The 6-foot head on the system generated a lot of pressure, vibration, slam, and noise. I finally had enough of the loud thumping of water hammer when we had company for a few days and had to listen to it day and night. I started reading about check valves and learned that a spring-loaded flapper valve would solve the problem. It was exactly the same dimensions as the old Zoeller valve, so I didn't have to retrofit or change anything. Thus, it only took a few minutes to install it. Wow. This valve is absolutely silent. No thumping. No water hammer. With the clear valve body it's easy to see why it works. You can see the spring tension gently close the valve, eliminating the huge slam that accompanies the closing of a regular flapper valve. In addition to stopping noise and vibration, eliminating water hammer takes the strain off your pump so it will last longer. Pipe joints will also be more secure. This is a game changer. If you have water hammer in your system, buy with confidence. This comes in 1.5" and 2" inlet/outlet size so measure and make sure you order the correct size for your system. I am confident you will be very happy with the results!

This valve worked great - I do not hear it at all. The old one would clunk and shake the pipes.

It works great used on Sump pump project to make sure water is thrown out. The one recommendation is the opacity to be little clearer since it tough to see that when pump is throwing soapy water.

Works as advertised. Less than an hour to complete the job myself. My only gripe is the cheap band clamps. 2 of them stripped out when I tightened them. Fortunately I was able to use the old clamps. I still give 5 stars for quality and near silent function.

Valve broke after 1 month

this back flow check valve eliminates the water hammer in the drain pipes from the sump pump. easy to install

This is great! my old valve would slam closed causing a big bang which could be heard throughout my house. this valve is sooo quiet!I don’t really care to see whats inside of it though, maybe it should be made of a non- clear material.
