Accurate and affordable
This is a useful combination square for any workshop. The ruler seems sturdy, with etched scales that are easy to read. The handle finish is not as smooth as my other big name brand combination square, but at half the price, I am okay with it. The bubble level and angles are all accurate, and the scribing pin is well made and conveniently placed on the outside, making it easy to remove and replace. Sliding the handle on the ruler is not as smooth, and when the handle is removed, it is a bit of a hassle to put it back.

Not Brass Lock Bolt
This 12” combination square has a lot of potential, but does not have a brass lock bolt. The lock bolt is supposed to be a weaker metal than the ruler so that it will bend slightly to hold tight. Not sure if the manufacture did not notice the brass lock bolt and nut on combination squares or chose to not use brass because other combination squares at this price point have brass. With that major defect out of the way, this is a nice combination square. The head is a nice size for a 12” square. The head is 0.67” wide and 3.3” above the ruler. The thumb nut is a good size, which helps some to help lock the head to the ruler but it should be brass. The level is easy to see. The scriber screws in nicely. (I’m not sure if the scriber should be brass or steel because I see brass on other combination squares.) If they change the lock bolt and nut to brass, I would have rated this a 5. It locks pretty well the way it is made, but it is over valued being all steel.Camping Lantern; 5 stars

Combo square
Haven't used 1 of these in sometime. Got my hands on the speed square and haven't looked back. I missed it though certain tricks that you can do with these things. I like this 1 too and it has a level on it. they definitely upgraded . Definitely happy definitely recommended

At < $8.00 this is a decent Combo-Square.
So first, this is not a $30+ combination square. That said, for less than $8.00, it's pretty decent. The ruler is decently thick and resists bending as well as expected. I wish it had inch markings to 1/32" and millimeter scale metric, but it has exactly what was shown. The aluminum slide has a nice feel, no rough edges where you grip. It's a bit too light for my personal taste, but decent for a smaller sized slide. The slide-action has a bit of a scratchy feel to it. This is do to the lack of a nice smooth finish on the ruler groove as well as the milling of the lock screw end. It does lock tight though. No give or play at all when tightened down.Overall, aside from the rather rough scale options on the ruler, it's on par with similarly priced options from a local HF store and about the quality of units priced about 20% higher at your regular big-box stores.

all in one
if you ahve this square, you really don't need another one because this one does the job of several. it is a great way to cut space i the toolbox. so far it has held up great so seems to be good quality.

Mine came missing scribe; accurate enough for most people; okay construction
My combo square came missing the scribe. It was not in the box nor the packaging. The ruler gradients are all etched into the ruler, not just painted, so they will not fade out. I'm not sure if the ruler is actually stainless or not, it is fairly magnetic. The base is machined cast aluminum. I compared this square to my machinists square and it was fairly accurate, at least accurate enough for framing purposes. This is a 12" rule but the usable length is probably around 10". Overall the value is about what you expect for the price.
