I put these in the footrest area...one on each side of my car. I hid the actual light strip up in the dash a little so you don't see any direct light. They put off a nice icy blue glow in the footwell. The plug is in the middle with a decent length of wire going out each side. Run the wires where the plastic dash pieces come together and nothing except the light they put off can be seen. I like it and it looks really cool at night without being in any way disruptive.

I got the small 24 LED light strips. The winning part of this is the push button on off! Brilliant! The lights are nice and bright, it comes with 3M tape so you can stick it to the side of your truck bed if that's what you're going to use it for. Good light throw and it makes everything easy to see in the bed of my truck. The 12 volt cigarette lighter plug makes it convenient if you want to move it around and not permanently attach it somewhere. Highly recommended!
