Curly Girl Approved!
I have never had a conditioner wow me (and I've tried plenty of expensive ones!), but this one actually worked for my type 2A hair! It made my hair super soft WITHOUT leaving any kind of greasy residue, and even gave my hair a bit of shine. And that's with only letting it sit in my hair for five minutes (who has time for 20+???). I don't know why anyone is complaining about the scent, it's faint and natural, and the scent doesn't linger anyways. If you're looking for something heavily fragranced, you should be looking at hair perfumes, not deep conditioners. The pH-balanced aspect probably helps a lot because I have ridiculously hard well water, so this helps keep my hair from frizzing due to the alkalinity.Anyone doing the curly girl method should definitely give this a shot!

Amazing!
I've been searching for years for a deep conditioner for my natural hair. Every product I tried left my hair a tangled mess. I recently found a protein free shampoo that my hair loves and I begin looking a deep conditioner to pair it with. My hair is protein sensitive and many of the deep conditioners I've tried have protein in the ingredients. I was skeptical about trying another expensive product that my hair hates and my purse too. Deep conditioning is a must in my hair regiment so I didn't want to give up. I did a search for a protein free deep conditioner and the OBIA Naturals Babassu Deep Conditioner was one that was listed. When I got it I couldn't wait to try it but my expectations weren't high. From the moment I started applying this product to my hair I knew it wasn't like the other deep conditioners I had tried. The directions says to use a generous amount but I start applying it in small amounts on medium sections of my hair until I covered all my hair with the product. I combed through each section with a wide tooth comb (a first for me with deep conditioner) and it was a breeze. I had no trouble distributing the product through my hair. I wanted an intense conditioning so I used my heat cap for 30 minutes. My hair was soft as butter when I rinsed the product out and so much easier to detangle. Finally a deep conditioner that my hair loves! I only wish they sold it in larger sizes. I like buying hair products in bulk , especially when I find products that work for my hair.

THE BEST.
Coconut free, protein free, silicone free, and vegan! Amazing slip! Leaves hair feeling silky soft, but still strong and healthy. Melts tangles away like butter. Smells delightful; fresh, clean, slightly sweet, not overpowering at all (and I'm sensetive to fragrance). Very moisturizing. A little pricey but a tiny bit goes a long way! :)My hair type: 3C (some 3b and 4a here and there)/ fine/ low porosity/ medium density/ never been permed or dyedMy favorite deep conditioner from SM was discontinued for some odd reason and I'd been on the hunt for something similar for the past few years. This Obia deep conditioner has exceeded my expectations and is even better than the one I used to use.Took one star off only because the price is quite high for only 8oz of product.

Get some of this
I had dry unruly hair suffering from iron deficiency. It didn't like anything. This was one of very few items my hair would tolerate well. I kept with it because it was the best thing smoking. Now that my hair is happier they get along even better. I have bleach colored 4c natural texture. This softened the hair and kept it soft with a good LOC for 4 days. I would deep condition 2 times a week because at first I didn't know that my iron was an issue or that it would cause issues with my hair. Now I deep condition about once a week unless I have a protective style.

JUST STICK TO SHEA MOISTURE LOL
I don’t like it. lol simple as that. I have 4b/4C low porosity. I used it twice and both times felt like my hair was even dryer afterwards. I literally had to follow up with Shea Moisture Yucca and Plantain masque, and THAT one did the trick. My hair soaked up the Shea Moisture mask like you wouldn’t believe. Needless to say, idk if I’ll ever touch this product again. This will probably work better for someone who already has healthy hair—maybe those with high porosity will find better results. 4C Low porosity girls, you might want to stay away. The consistency was ok. Not too runny. The scent was also ok. I bought this specifically for the ingredients. But once I saw the Amazing effect the Shea Moisture had on my hair, I was done with this other stuff.

No added protein
I like this for my fine but lush curly hair that needs no added protein.

Hard and Tangly
Made my hard and tangly and I don't understand why because I used to use it and it was rich, would lather, and detangling my hair was a breeze. Maybe something significant has changed about my hair?

I tried to like it
I purchased this thinking it would be good for my 4c natural hair. After the first use, my hair felt so dry and coated, if that makes sense. I thought it was something I did, so I decided to give it another try. I deep condition my hair weekly, so the next time I tried it, I did a clarifying shampoo to make sure my hair was squeaky clean, then applied the conditioner and sat under a plastic cap to help with the deep conditioning. After rinsing, I was disappointed again. I don't know why, but I gave it a third try and finally decided it wasn't me, it was the product. Very disappointed.
