My expedience with those cheap wood and sandpaper emery boards has never been great and I’ve even gotten the occasional splinter from them. These glass files are so much better that I was shocked! The grits on each side are a bit finer than those wooden ones which is wonderful because I have always felt the rougher side of the cheap ones was way too rough. These glass files glide around your nails so smoothly! They leave you with nice smooth nails.

I like everything about these glass nail files. They do not leave any rough edges and they come in a very nice protective case. Great item at a great price.

I am someone who often carries a lot of things in their bag day to day. I like having a file handy to handle any hangnails or jagged edges from a broken fingernail. This works great for that purpose. It has enough grit that I feel like it's smoothing the nail quickly, but not too much that the edges feel rough when I'm done. The case it comes with is convenient to throw in my makeup bag with all my other essentials.

Have been using glass nail files for 3 years and won't use anything else. They dont need as much pressure as hard type files and dont leave any raspy shreds that you have to refile. A great product.
