The color lining that goes on the side of the shoes has a block that goes in front of the toes which helps if you need to nudge stuff out of the way with your shoes and it looks cool too. The traction on the bottom is great for gym shoes, it's not rough enough to tear up any surfaces but it has enough dips and patterns to where I've had no issues with slipping on wooden or concrete floors in exercise classes like zumba, fitness boot camp, or HITT. Cons. The part that has the toe has seemed to fade a little bit more than the rest of it, but it's not bad or noticeable enough to warrant me getting a new pair yet. The base is also flared around the entire shoe so it is going to give your feet a bigger profile and you'll have to be careful not to scrape the sides if you put your feet in pedals or are using step boxes when exercising. Conclusion.
