A Smooth, Classic Cup: Tetley Loose Leaf Tea
Tetley Loose Leaf Tea is a solid choice for anyone who enjoys a traditional, no-nonsense cup of black tea. The leaves brew into a rich, amber-colored tea with a smooth, well-balanced flavor that isn’t bitter or overpowering. It has that classic, comforting taste you expect from a dependable everyday tea. I especially like how customizable it is—brew it a little longer for a stronger cup or keep it lighter if you prefer something smoother. It pairs well with milk and sugar but is just as enjoyable on its own. The loose leaf format also gives it a fresher taste compared to standard tea bags. Overall, Tetley Loose Leaf Tea is reliable, affordable, and perfect for daily drinking. It may not be fancy, but it delivers a consistently good cup of tea every time, making it a staple worth keeping in the pantry.

Fresher Tetley taste is superior to it in tea bags and no microfibers!
I had always bought Tetley in tea bags, now microfibers concern me. So I bought loose Tetley and it is lovely. The taste is NOT THE SAME: it tastes fresher and is absolutely delicious. I had not idea it would make such a difference as a loose tea. I love it, I've been a tea drinker 65 years.

Lipton Yellow discontinued. Buy Tetley!!
Tetley Loose Leaf is great. And this is not out dated like a lot sellers have. Use by date is two years away. Will buy again. Thanks!

Makes a Strong Cuppa Tea
Very good tea. I thought I bought decaf but this is full-on straight tea. I've been drinking decaf for months now so when I took some of this out of the tea can I transferred it to, I had forgotten what kind it was. It was bold, rich and flavorful, I thought "I need to buy this kind instead of the other decafs." Checked my Amazon order and it was this, full caffeine tea. So there is a big difference between decaf and regular black teas, even if they both are Tetley. I also feel the caffeine buzz. This is tea is tiny 'pellets' so it's dense when you measure it. It won't unfurl. It leaves sediment behind in the teapot so I use a tea-filter bag: Tea Filter Bags, Disposable Tea Infuser, Size 2, Set of 1000 Filters - from Magic Teafit and the muck is left behind in the filter. I like this tea brewed at the 2.5 - 3 minute mark; over that it becomes bitter for me. I like this with a lump of sugar and a spoonful of half and half to a 6oz mug. This would make a good base for Indian Masala Chai although I use Lipton Yellow Label for that. Try this, you can't beat the price for the amount you get. Make sure to transfer tea into a smaller container and keep the large box well sealed between refills. You get enough to share with friends and family, too.

Takes me right back to England
Wherever I travel in Britain, there is one common denominator. No, it's not the language. Sometimes I understand the English that is spoken and sometimes I don't. I do, however, always understand the tea. It's reliably British. Stout, flavorful and begging for a little milk and sugar. Like the language, it comes in many subtle varieties, but unlike the language, I'm always sure it's English. The Scottish and Irish might argue with that, but no matter where you travel in Great Britain the tea is the common denominator. Which brings us to this particular tea. Tetley is reliably authentic, right down to the packaging. You'll know it as soon as it begins brewing. Unlike our most popular American brand of tea which almost stings the olfactory senses, Tetley will both bolster and soothe. A scoop of Tetley tea also contains quite a bit more tea than traditional Chinese or American teas. Tetley forms the leaves in to little pellets, so there isn't much air between the leafs. That makes the tea brew stronger and if that's too strong for your taste, you can easily use fewer scoops and get the same strength brew as you would from traditional bulk tea. I'm sure that my method of tea brewing would offend British tea purists, but we've been having tea "issues" since the 1773 Boston Tea Party. Instead of the traditional British brewing method, I use a regular coffee maker (that is never used for making coffee) to brew my Tetley tea. I get about 4 or 5 standard cups of strongly brewed tea from 3 scoops of Tetley. At that rate, this 31.75 oz. box lasts for months making it an excellent bargain, despite the weak dollar. When you serve this to your friends, invite them to try it with a little milk. Let them experience one of the really nice things that our cousins across the Atlantic have to share. Now that Amazon carries this product, I can relive those cool, misty British mornings without ever leaving the desert. Now that you've taken a trip to the "Amazon" you might as well extend it to another continent!

Perfect sweet iced tea!
Perfect loose leaf for sweet iced tea! I’ve been searching for a loose leaf option to replace the tea bags for my southern lady sweet tea - and this is the best one I’ve found yet!

False description of product: Tetley Loose Leaf Black Tea
I recently learned that the Family size Tetley tea bags (for iced tea) contains plastic in the seal. After all these years, I went looking for loose tea and was surprised that I couldn't find it in any of my groceries or Sam's / Costco. I still have a metal tea ball like my mother used....no plastic there. I finally found a 31.7 oz box of Tetley "Loose Leaf Black Tea" on Amazon. Except that it is not loose leaf at all, instead it is freeze dried like instant coffee. I am now, once again, searching for a product that I didn't know had disappeared except for small individual tea bags which still contain loose tea.

I have always used Tetley, and loose is environmentally safe and less plastic intake in your body (there are plastic particles in the bagged teas)

Not as good as the tea-bag version. Surprising, but these are not really leaves.
