The media could not be loaded. I've built my share of building sets - OK, I've built a lot of people's share of sets. I only gave this a fourth star, because Agent P is awesome. And this does make a solid display piece. The instructions are clear and the pieces are good quality. Everything goes together and holds well, EXCEPT...Because the model is designed to come apart to switch between a platypus and PERRY the Platypus (you heard that in Doof's voice, didn't you?), the legs and tail fall off if you blow on them. This could have been solved easily with 2 1x4 plates. That's it. But for a lack of 2 1x4 teal plates, the model can't stand up in a light breeze. So... I had to... (I feel so dirty) ... I glued the 1x2 bricks with holes, that the legs hinge in to. It now stands fine, can be switched around, all the things. But. Ugh. I hate glue.

Im trying to get into puzzles and building toys a little more and this was a good start. Well first, I loved Phineas and Ferb, so the fact that this is Perry meant this was an automatic buy for me. It was a nice time waster and its cute on my shelf.

I was truly looking forward to working on this set. I love Perry! I wanted to add him to my collection of building block sets. I started on it as soon as it arrived! I got it put together and was so happy with it! Then I carefully picked it up and bam! The head fell apart and other pieces fell off the main body - while it went together fairly easily the pieces did not fit tightly together. Although I have put it back together, it has to be done in the location it will be placed as it just isn't moveable. I will be picking up some glue to help. This is extremely disappointing!

I actually got this set for my grandson to play with because my kids are now grown. My grandson's dad, who is 26 absolutely loved Perry the Platypus when he was a kid. I don't remember what the story was, but there was some quote that he used to repeat all the time about Perry when he was a kid, so I knew he'd get a kick out of this building set. I love that it fits regular legos and we can just add them to the lego collection.

If your kid (or you) is a big fan of Phineas and Ferb, it's a great addition to your place that's, or even works as a desk decoration. Fairly simple to assemble, though the directions sometimes make confusing leaps, so pay close attention.
