I ordered this repair kit, then sat on it for months because I was worried I wasn't going to be able to make a good repair. But this kit has everything that you need, and I'm pretty amazed at the results.As I mentioned in my video the only thing this kit really needed was a cherry/red finish to mix with the other colors. It has a wide variety of browns and one that is solid black, so you can mix and match to get what you need. My repairs look pretty good, but I think they could have been perfect if I had some red to mix in.You can see in the pictures and the video that the big repair was the corner of a bookshelf that my dog chewed off when she was a puppy. I use the enclosed sandpaper to take off the rough edges, then I took my time building up the wood filler to recreate the corner. Honestly, I'm pretty darn impressed at how I was able to make a new corner. I then mixed up the finish as best as I could and applied it. Unless you're looking directly at that corner, you are not going to notice that it was repaired, and you would never know that the entire corner was missing at one point. I still need to do a final sanding and put on the clear coat, but I was so surprised at how well I was doing that I wanted to record the video now.So if you're wondering if you can repair your furniture, I can definitely recommend that you give it a try. You may not get something perfect but you will get something that's 95% perfect.Oh, and if you're looking at the photos, the repairs look more prominent than in real life. For real, when I look at these repair spots I have to get very very close to see that something was done.

I wasn't sure if this kit would work but due to someone purposefully scratching and gouging into my oak desk and drop leaf table I was will to give it a try and hope for the best. I won't like, it does take a bit of work and old fashioned elbow grease to get everything prepared and the finish to come out matching well but the repairs are far better than I expected to get form any kit. Given my situation and the gouging it still is a bit noticeable but that is due to the indents and I think it's mostly only noticeable to me because it's my cherished furniture that I know where it was damaged.Absolutely great kit and I definitely recommend it.

I used this product to touch up some of my bedroom furniture that had a couple of minor scratches on a couple of pieces. I have multiple pieces in my bedroom that are a different color but are part of the same grouping. I also touched up my master bathroom cabinets. I like that you can mix together in order to get a specific color. Everything you need is in this set. I will be able to touch up several pieces that I have and being able to match the color is something that I haven’t been able to do. This is a great value in that it will save money by repairing and matching the existing pieces.

The real great thing about this kit, colors can be mixed and they do not drift much on drying, it is feasible to match a large gamut of furniture finishes. The paint adheres very well to wood, at least. The provided wood filler is also of very good quality, though the tube is rather small. The other included accessories come handy, but a pipette (or a few of these) would have been great for controlling the mixing proportions.

Well, throw a Hurricane into the mix, flooding our home and leaving behind a trail of truly awesome destruction. Moving into our new home , and then moving my parents in to our new home. I'm grateful to have them here but it's safe to say my life is about as busy as a life can be! Well? The munchkins got a bit excited while playing with their aunts and uncles and some scratches and dents became a new feature on my neuro coffee table. I wanted to cry! But then one of my daughters said, "They aren't scratches momma, they are memories!" And I had to laugh instead! So, I decided it was time to try out the "Soto Furniture Repair Kit" and see if it lives up to its promises.First I needed to determine if the directions were clear and under understandable. That might be tricky because I have worked with wood and furniture for so long the lingo is a part of my vocabulary. But, actually making an effort to determine this, I believe the directions are clear and understand. I won't lie, the repair process itself took a bit of time and elbow grease, but the results were absolutely worth it. My coffee table back to being a beautiful centerpiece in my living room once again.I found the variety of water based staines to be a nice advantage, especially with so mmany people always running around - both young and old! No strong outdoors or toxic fumes from various canisters hanging around to make anyto make anyone sick. The low odor meant I didn't have to worry about toxic fumes, and the clean-up was also super easy. There was also a / variety of clear coats which allowed me to achieve the perfect level of shine, restoring the perfect patina I thought I could never achieve again.I'm not saying this kit is magic. I was terrified I would mess it up the entire time I was working on it. And, if your piece is extraordinarily damaged, you might want to get a professional opinion. Your piece might be beyond saving or maybe it just needs a professionals help. But for those everyday scratches, dings, and watermarks; and fire the "memories" that are inevitable with children, it might just be a good idea to have this around in an emergency kit of some sort. It gave my beloved coffee table a second chance at life, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
