I purchased this to upgrade an i3 rack server from 4Gb to 8Gb. Amazon had the best price I could readily find for the size and configuration I needed. I plugged it in and it works.

Works great with SuperMicro X8SIL-F Motherboard
This was purchased for my SuperMicro X8SIL-F Motherboard. It worked right away with FreeNAS 9.1.1 and played well with my other older Kingston RAM that was already in the system as well. Shipping did take a while from the vendor I purchased from, and before that Amazon told me it was shipping for months and never did. However, the product itself is great.

Used memory at a new price.It is noted by:- Have the memory contacts marked, with friction by insertion.- Do not bring the original Kingston blister. Without manual, manufacturer's stamp. Obviously no warranty from Kingston.- Each one of a different revision; PCB with different shades of green. Buy 8 pieces and score 2 bad
