Yes, the condo is solid. I have three of these and my cats love them. The platform comes with a padded, washable mat and is big enough for two medium cats to cuddle up or a large cat (ours is 6.5 kg). The raised sides of the platform are well padded but not solid so will give if the cat puts enough weight against them but this seems to bother me more than the cats. I have struggled to find a condo with a large platform and am very satisfied with this one. Good quality for a modest price.

How do you attach the ball? The instructions do not mention or show what to do

Hi. My cat is pretty big boned, she weighs between 6 and 8kg and she fits no problem at all on it. She curls up and stays put until she's hungry. I don't have video of her on the bed but I do have one to show how chunky she is. Hope this helps. I have absolutely no worries of my cat falling off when she's sleeping.
